I heard a familiar singing voice.

"Y/N! DAD!"
Is that... Varian...?
I still struggle to open my eyes.

"R-Rapunzel... you didn't give up on me... I'm NOT giving up on you..."
Varian said to Rapunzel.

I open my eyes to see Rapunzel's... black hair...? Turning back to blonde.

Quirin and I... we were free...
It doesn't look like Varian threaten her to do that...

"Dad! You are alive!"
Varian ran up to Quirin.

"The letter... what was in there?
I need to know..."

"All it said was... I'm so proud of you, Varian..."
Quirin said and they hugged again.

"Y-Y/N!"
Varian hugged me, almost throwing me back.

"Woah, V', chill! My limb's still asleep!"
I laughed.

"O-Oh! Sorry!"
Varian let go.

I finally managed to crawl out of the ember's ruins and Varian helped me stand up.

"I'm so happy for you, V'... we finally got Quirin back and-"

"I finally got you back..."
Varian answered softly.

"WOULD YOU KISS ALREADY?"
Rapunzel called out.

"W-Would they... WHAT?!"
Quirin asked in disbelief.

Varian and I looked at each other's eyes.

And we kissed.

We pull away after a few seconds and we hugged.

The village looked good as new, and there were no stones...

"What happened here...?"
Quirin asked in disbelief.

"You two have been trapped for a year..."
Varian said.

I almost started coughing.
"A-A YEAR?
You better tell me what I missed, Varian.

At least we are all safe and-"

Rapunzel had tears in her eyes.

"Cassandra... she... she is dangerous. She is threatening Corona. She took the moon stone."
Rapunzel said, shakingly.

"Is this the other part of the scroll? With the darkness and-"

"Yes..."
Varian answered me.

Rapunzel took a deep breath.
"Quirin, I need you to come back to the castle with me, we have to settle some stuff.
Varian, make sure that Y/N's caught up with everything."

"Of course, Rapunzel."
Varian said.

"So... do you want to sit somewhere...? There's a lot to take in and all..."
Varian asked me.

"You know, I never got the chance to see the view from the hills next to my old house...!"
