Christmas morning in the Knight household is a lot more excitable than Elle expected.
Awsten is up fairly early, itching to go downstairs and begin opening presents. He can't seem to stay still, no matter how hard he tries, and he feels a little guilty when Elle begins to stir.
"Morning," she murmurs, rolling herself closer to him.
"Merry Christmas," Awsten grins, pressing a kiss to her cheek.
He continues kissing around Elle's face, until she's a little more awake.
"Merry Christmas to you, too," she giggles, and he finally kisses her lips.
"I wanna go downstairs," Awsten pleads.
"Are you five?" Elle raises her eyebrows.
"On Christmas? Yes," he answers, cuddling up to her again. "I wanna give you your presents."
"Don't, you'll stress me out," she warns, lightheartedly.
"Why?" Awsten frowns.
"I don't know," Elle shrugs. "Buying people presents is stressful."
"I can guarantee I'll love whatever you've got me," he says, sweetly. "And everyone else will, too. Even though, you really didn't have to get them anything—"
"Don't start," she laughs, rolling her eyes.
After a moment, Elle's phone buzzes on the nightstand, so she reaches over to grab it, noticing a few texts in her groupchat with Taylor, Ethan.
