Chapter 13

A month later Bree was at home enjoying the summer with her parents and Tonks, whenever she wasn't working. Her injury had healed but she was left with a long scar going diagonally up the side of her stomach. It honestly bothered her for the first two weeks of seeing it but after some encoraging words from her family, friends and Charlie, it didn't bother her at all anymore. She also had a few nightmares about the events of the last tournament that would cause her to wake up with a scream some nights. Fortunately either her mom or dad would always be there to comfort her when that happened. However it also made her feel slightly guilty for waking them up so after the first few times she tried to force herself to be quiet but her parents found out and told her not to do that anymore cause they will always be there for her whenever she needs them. A lot more had happened since the school year ended as people were in disarray about whether to believe the Dark Lord was back or not. The Ministry had even been making a joke out of Harry in the paper about what he told them and they also did the same to Bree sometimes, saying she had a bump on the head during the last task making her hallucinate and that one of the champions had actually attacked her. The blonde was fuming everytime she saw the paper causing her hair to quickly turn a mixture of red and orange in her anger and annoyance. Her family did their best to calm her down and reassure her that the people she cared about knew the truth and that was all she needed. Although she did agree with them she still was extremely unhappy with how the Ministry made herself and Harry look like nutters.

"Are you ready sweetheart, Tonks will be here soon" asks her mother warmly once she catches sight of her youngest daughter entering the sitting room with her trunk behind her. "Yup im ready mum" answers Bree with a small smile. Dumbledore had gathered all the old order members together with some new additions as well which included Tonks. Since Bree had been having a bit of a rough summer, Tonks suggested she came to stay at headquarters so she could spend some time with the twins in the hopes it would make her feel better. Her sister would be here to collect her at any minute along with a few other order members before they all go to pick up Harry. 

A knock sounds from the door making Bree quickly take her wand out as she approaches the door to ask a security question, like her parents told her to do. "It is i, Tonks. Daughter of Andromeda and Ted Tonks, here to collect my sister" Bree hears her sisters voice come through the door. "What was my first sign of magic" the blonde calls back to Tonks as a measure of precaution. Tonks chuckles "you lit moms favourite tablecloth on fire and while she tried to put it out, you sat on the floor and cried". Bree groans while unlocking the door and opening it to show Tonks and Remus Lupin on the other side both smirking. "Did you have to mention the crying part, it was scary i didn't know what was happening" whines Bree while letting Remus in to grab her trunk. "Of course i did dear sister, its in my older sister duties" replies Tonks cheekily before moving past her sister to go and greet their mother. The youngest Tonks then turns her attention to Remus just as he begins to levitate her trunk "how are you Remus, long time no see". The older man smiles kindly at her "im as well as can be Bree though i heard its the same with you and going by the slight dark circles under your eyes i assume i heard right". Bree sighs tiredly "yeah i haven't been sleeping well since May, i just keep going back to that moment". Remus frowns sadly at the young girl before him wishing she didn't have to go through such a thing "well lets hope spending time among friends will help". "You and me both" is the Blondes response just as her mother comes towards her for a hug. "Now you be careful darling, i love you and ill see you soon" requests Andromeda worriedly as she pulls back to cup her youngest daughters face. Bree covers her mothers hands with her own warm ones for reassurance "i will don't worry mum". Bree then grabs her Nimbus from beside the door and leaves to the front garden where about five more order members are waiting. "Ready Bree?" asks Remus with his leg over his broom and her trunk tied near the end of it. "As i'll ever be" sighs Bree while climbing onto her own broom. "Stay together and do not break ranks no matter what" orders Moody gruffly to everyone but turns to pointedly look at Bree as she gives him a nod. One by one they each fly up into the night with Bree staying flying between Remus and Tonks.
