Third-person pov- 8 months ago, continuing from karmas flashback

"What is this some joke?" Karma asked glaring at the men

"Sir I'm sorry I followed what you said but then they asked more questions and I didn't know what to say- agh-" the man rambled until the man in the white mask grabbed his throat

[choking]

Karma and itona stared at the two when itona grabbed karmas arm wanting to leave while he was busy but karma didn't seem to get the message

[neck snaps]

Karma and itona stepped back as the body dropped on the floor

"So you're the one who set this up," Karma said

"I am," he said when he picked up a picture off the table, "I thought a couple of kids would have just settled for a face and be on their way...I guess I shouldn't have underestimated you when you lasted this long"

"So you were testing us?" Karma asked When the man standing reached for his mask and took it off when both karma and itona flinched

"You're Jason," itona said

[laughing]

"I am" he laughed

"So was all that stuff about you true? Or were all those story's and photos just for show?" Karma said wanting answers as to why they were testing the two assassins

"No...all that stuff was true," Jason said picking up another photo as he showed the boys "and he was one of my victims"

"You're a psychopath...and I've met a lot of people who tortured ghouls before but this is some shit" karma laughed

"Karma we should go...he was just testing us that should be it," itona said

"I want answers," karma said when itona yanked the fabric on his shirt

"Karma...I don't trust this guy...please just for once trust my instincts" itona whispered when karma looked back and locked eyes with the boy seeing the fear in his partner's eyes

"Fine" karma said as itona sighed in relief but didn't let down his guard just yet

"You two don't understand after all" Jason laughed when karma turned around to face the man as he put his mask back on "You two won't be leaving" Jason laughed

"And why the hell not...we passed your sick test so we're going now," karma said when Jason's kagune emerged from his back

"It wasn't a test...it was a trap" Jason laughed

[finger cracks]

"Run...now!" karma snarled as he and itona channeled their kagune only to be stopped by Jason's as he blocked the exit

[Jason laughing]

"You two are going to cure my boredom for a while alright!" Jason said when karma launched his kagune at the man only for Jason to grab it
