"Mommy, everything's ready!" Nancy told Carolyn

"Are you sure?" Carolyn smiled before placing a can of cookies on the table "Now everything's ready"

"Can we go get Meredith now?" Amelia asked

"Well we have to ask Stacy to come here and stay with Der, Mark, Liz, Kath and Nancy before we leave. We don't all fit in the car and I don't wanna leave your siblings alone." Carolyn explained it to her impatient daughter

Amelia nodded and went to wait at the door.

When Stacy arrived, Carolyn, Christopher and Amelia got in the car and drove to the hospital. It was calm in the hospital. They made their way up to the peds floor and entered Meredith's room. The little girl was asleep in the big bed with a scarf around her head and dressed in warm pajamas

"Can I wake her up?" Amelia looked with big eyes

"Not yet, baby. Let's pack her stuff first so she can rest" Carolyn smiled and grabbed Meredith's bag

"Mommy, when will Mer be better?" Amelia asked

"We hope soon, baby" Carolyn smiled and kissed Amelia's forehead

"I'll go sign the papers" Christopher said

Once Carolyn and Amelia packed all Meredith's stuff, they decided to wake up the little girl

"Mer, Mer!" Amelia gently shook Meredith's shoulder "It's thanksgiving" She smiled

Meredith stirred a bit as she woke up but seemed lost the first couple of seconds. She wanted to sit up but her body protested against it as she groaned in pain

"Calm down, sweetie. It's okay" Carolyn brushed her fingers over Meredith's cheeks

Once Meredith was back to reality, she was smiling. She was going outside of this hospital, she would spend the day with her friend in a real house with decorations. Meredith wasn't familiar with a thanksgiving party and even though she's sich, she's been very excited

"Is everyone ready?" Christopher asked and everyone smiled in responde

"Hey, Meredith. I wanted to come say goodbye" Arizona entered the room

Meredith smiled in response as Christopher picked her up

"Have fun, Meredith" Arizona waved goodbye

It did take Meredith a lot of effort to wave back but she did

Meredith's head was resting on top of Christopher's shoulder until they arrived at the car. Carolyn strapped in both kids and sat next to them, in case something was up with Meredith

"Are you excited?" Amelia asked Meredith

"Ya" She smiled back

Amelia grabbed Meredith's hand and held it tight

They reached the home without accidents. Amelia jumped out as fast as she could as Christopher picked up Meredith and carried her inside

"We're home!" Carolyn announced and quickly heard small footsteps coming closer

"Hi, Mer" Derek smiled as he saw the little girl

"Hi!" Mark yelled

"H-i" Meredith whispered back

Christopher lowered her down on the couch and made sure she was comfortable. Soon enough, Amelia joined her and the other kids sat close by

"That's Kath, Lizzy and Nance or Nancy. Whatever you like the most" Mark said, picking their shorter names so Meredith wouldn't have a harder time
