"Okay, time for a little nap I think" Carolyn smiled as they finished dinner. Meredith moved to Christopher's lap as she was falling asleep

"I'll get the food for her feeding tube" Christopher said

"We'll clean the table" Kathleen offered

Carolyn carried Meredith over to the big couch and placed her down, stuffed on some pillows

"Take a nap, sweetie" She smiled

"I'll stay with her!" Amelia offered

"Thanks baby" Carolyn smiled and kissed Amelia's forehead

"Wh-e-wre m-m-ommy?" Meredith mumbled

"Shh, go back to sleep" Amelia whispered as she rubbed her friend's cold hand

Christopher administered Meredith's food for the feeding tube and covered her and Amelia with blankets "Yell if you need me. I'm gonna help mom and the girls with cleaning up"

"We're okay daddy" Amelia smiled and cuddled up closer to Meredith

Carolyn, Christopher and the older kids returned back to the living room and smiled at the sight of Meredith and Amelia laying on the couch

"Can we get all our mattresses downstairs and all sleep in the living room, please?" Kathleen smiled at her parents

Carolyn and Christopher smiled at each other and agreed. Soon enough, everyone brought their own stuff downstairs as they spread it around the room, making sure Meredith and Amelia would sleep next to Christopher and Carolyn

"Okay guys, get up, showers and pajamas" Carolyn announced

The kids ran upstairs

"Amelia, you too" Christopher laughed as he saw the little girl was awake

"Okay daddy" She laughed and followed her siblings upstairs

Carolyn changed Meredith and quickly brushed the little girl's teeth with the special non flavoured toothpaste

"You're ready" Carolyn said as she saw Meredith's eyes opening

Meredith smiled warm and grabbed Carolyn's hand weakly

"Look what we did here" Christopher lifted Meredith and showed all the mattresses on the ground before placing Meredith down on Amelia's where covers of Brave and Frozen were lying

"I think you'll want the Brave one?" Carolyn laughed and got a smile from Meredith in response

"Are you comfortable?" Carolyn asked as she stuffed the girl up with pillows and covered her with blankets. Meredith nodded in response. She inserted the little girl's meds through the Cannula in her hand

"T-thanks. Lu-love y-you"

"We love you too, Mer" Christopher smiled

"Mer! You're already laying down" Amelia smiled and crawled in bed next to her friend

"Anyone who wants to watch another movie? Christopher asked once everyone was laying down

"Yes!" They all agreed

All the kids were singing with the songs of the movie before they could hear Meredith's snoring

"She's loud" Mark laughed

"It's the first time in a while that she's been sleeping so good" Carolyn smiled

"She's feeling home!" Amelia commented and rested her head closer to the sleeping Meredith

"She is" Carolyn smiled and adjusted the scarf on Meredith's head, making sure she stays warm

...

Somewhere during the night, Carolyn woke up by the sound of Meredith whimpering. Luckily for her, the little girl was asleep next to her. Carolyn rolled over and checked on her

"Meredith, are you okay?" Carolyn asked

Meredith nodded but clutched her head

"Shh, I'll get you some meds" Carolyn carefully stood up and went to get Meredith's medication. She injected the meds into the IV and held Meredith until she fell asleep again. After that, Carolyn made sure Meredith was laying down comfortable before she wrapped her arm back around her husband and drifted back to sleep

It took a while before all the kids were up and awake so Christopher decided to make some pancakes for the kids while Carolyn was getting the table ready. Soon enough, they would have to bring Meredith back to the hospital for another round of chemo

All the kids gathered around the table, even Meredith found the strenght to try and eat some breakfast. Carolyn cutted the pancake and let the kids eats with their hands as it would be much easier to not deal with a fork for Meredith

"Mommy, can I stay with Meredith today?" Amelia asked

"We'll see, Amy" Carolyn replied and went back to serving the kids with lots of food

"M-m..A-mmm-my" Meredith slurred as her hand dropped down at the side of her body

"I got her" Christopher said ans scooped her up, walking to the livingroom and placing her down as he felt her shaking in his arms, being aware this was a seizure

Christopher held her on her side with a firm grip, making sure she would be okay and not injure herself

Once Meredith was back to being herself, Christopher noticed how she was wheezing a bit. His concerns immediately grew as he saw Meredith was panicking

"Hey, hey. You're okay. Tell me what's wrong" Christopher's fingers brushed her cheek

"P-pa" She whispered before groaning and clutching her head

"Shh, calm down, it will be okay. Focus on your breathing. In and out, in and out" He helped her

Meredith did as was asked

"Is breathing getting hard lately?" Christopher asked

Sheepily, Meredith nodded her head

"It will be okay" Christopher said and helped her sit up a bit

"Is she okay?" Carolyn asked as she entered the room

"I want her on oxygen at all times" Christopher sadly replied "We should get ourselves ready. She's exhausted and her chemo will start.. She needs to rest, maybe we have to postpone her chemo with a day"

"N-o" Meredith weakly mutter "Kay"

"Of course you're okay" Carolyn kissed the top of the little girl's head "Let's get ourselves ready" Carolyn smiled sadly. She used moisturiser for Meredith's hands and used a lip balm for the young kirk's dried out lips

They called over the babysitter and grabbed all Meredith's stuff

"Mommy, I wanna come too" Amelia frowned

"Baby, Meredith's very tired. She'll get chemo, she'll get sick" Carolyn tried to explain

"I can hold her hand" Amelia whispered

"You can come to drop her off but then we go back home. Dad needs to work anyways. He'll stay with Meredith" Carolyn told

Her daughter who gave in

They got into the car and left for the hospital. Amelia was firmly holding Meredith's hand while the little girl's head was resting in Carolyn's lap
