Diana watched as Katy gazed around with wonder in her eyes. They had just arrived in Macau, a peninsula famous for its casinos and malls. The streets were covered in bright lights and loud music as people stumbled around. Sitting behind Katy, Diana glanced at Shaun, whose eyes were drawn to the tall buildings surrounding them.

Katy turned around and smiled at Shang and Diana, her face glistened with amazement. Shang's face fell quickly though, his eyebrow furrowed closer together as he thought about his sister. Diana noticed his unease and gently grabbed his hand, rubbing her thumb against his knuckles soothingly. He squeezed her hand.

The car pulled up to a run-down tower, scaffolding surrounding the building. Even though it looked uncompleted and worn out, people were going in and out. They followed the entrance sign to a lift. A man stared them down as they awkwardly shuffled inside.

"Sign here to get in," the man at the lift gestured to the pen in his left hand, giving it to Shang. Shang glanced at his two friends before doing as the man said. Diana couldn't help but feel anxious about the whole situation they were in.

"I'm looking for my sister, Xu Xialing," Shang questioned, "Have you heard of her?" The man simply ignored Shang, pressing into his earpiece. Diana narrowed her eyes, her mouth open, about to demand an answer when the elevator door opened revealing a man, with pink hair and a colourful jacket. A large silver chain hanged from his neck.

"Bus Boy!" Shang turned to Diana with a confused glance who shrugged.

"Two million views in three days, bro!" He said pulling out a video on his phone. From one of the passengers, a recording of Shang fighting off 3 men played.

"Damn, dude."

"Oh no."

"And you're fighter girl," he gasped out turning to the two girls who froze at the attention, "And you're the driver," he continued saying something in Mandarin which Katy could not pick up.

"Oh, my Chinese sucks," she began, not understanding the words coming out of his mouth.

"Oh, all good," he nodded, waving her off, "I speak A-B-C."

"Oh great."

"I'm Jon Jon," he introduced as he guided them through the building, "Okay, let's get you ready to fight," he patted Shang on the shoulder and received three confused glances.

"Wait, what?"

"Welcome to the Golden Daggers Club," he started explaining what they do as a club while passing a few fights. Diana took a glance at everyone in the building. Fights were going off with people around their cages cheering them on. Bets were being placed and drinks were being served. She almost flinched as a harsh punch spilled blood.

"I'm not here to fight anybody," Shaun interrupted, cutting Jon Jon's spiel off, "I'm looking for my sister, Xu Xialing," he was cut off when a man slammed his opponent on the glass window, cheering as he won his fight. The people around were exhilarated, intoxicated by the brutal scenery.

"Is he going to fight in one of these?" Diana queried, worried for her friend's safety.

"Oh, no, no, no. These are low-level fights," Jon Jon pulled a face, almost offended that she would ever suggest such a thing, "You're going to be fighting up there," he pointed to the big cage at the center of the establishment. People gathered around and under the cage as a large creature attacked a much smaller man.

"Go Wong!" Jon Jon screamed as Wong took down his opponent with magic portals. The trio gaped at the commotion, watching as Wong celebrated his win, "I always bet on Asian."

"Oh, my god."

"Yeah. Look, I'm not going up there," Shang protested.

"Woah, woah, woah. It's too late to back up now, You already committed, bro," He replied "You signed the contract, remember? Your names on the roaster. The bets are piling in."

"Really? What's our cut?" Katy wondered, her faith in her friend overpowering her fear.

"It doesn't matter."

"It matters," Diana agreed, trying to stay optimistic about their circumstances, although her voice came out a tone higher, "Don't be nervous. You got this."

"Dude, I saw you fight five assassins and a giant Romanian with a razor-point arm on a moving bus. This is just one guy. Just do it. Then we all get paid, then I'll help u find whoever you're looking for."

"C'mon. You got this," Katy added, nodding her head the words tumbling out of Jon Jon's mo

"Thank you," Shang answered sarcastically, annoyed he got into this mess. They turned back around, watching as five men tried to pull the unconscious creature off the stage. Eventually, Shang followed Jon Jon into the back rooms of the fighting rink, leaving Katy and Diana to sit below the cage.

"How much do you think I could earn if I bet against him?" Diana joked, looking at Katy.

"Oh tonnes," Katy replied, "C'mon let's get a better spot," she pulled Diana up to the front, trying to find an empty seat. It wasn't long until everyone started piling in, Diana tapped her leg nervously as she waited with Katy.

"Ladies and gentlemen, the fight we've all been waiting for. The incredible, viral sensation, all the way from San Francisco, USA, it's Bus Boy!" Shang came out with a shirt off, while Katy was shocked that her friend had abs, Diana couldn't help but run her eyes from top to bottom.

"Are you checking him out?" Katy whispered over to Diana. Diana rolled her eyes and said nothing, lightly slapping Katy's arm while Katy pretended to be in agony. Katy smiled at her before turning back. Shang scanned the crowd trying to find his friends, he locked eyes with Diana as she gave him an encouraging thumbs-up.

"And his opponent for tonight. It's Macau's own fearsome killer Xu Xialing," Diana's head shot up at that name, turning to Katy as they glanced at each other in shock. Diana turned back to look at Shaun who was staring at the girl baffled. The fight started as the girl jumped at Shang trying to take him down.

"Oh, He is definitely not going to win this," Diana said, maybe a bit too happily as he got kicked down. Diana examined both their fighting techniques, feeling helpless as she watched Shang get struck down, time after time.

"Stop I'm trying to help you," he pleaded, "Dad is coming," she tilted her head and looked at him for a second before kicking him in the face, knocking him down.
