I had never thought I'd be kissing Rafe Cameron. It felt so right yet so wrong. What would our friends think? But that didn't matter at that moment, all we cared about was each other.

This was the difficult part, what happens next. We had clearly been hiding our feelings since before summer. I had crushed on him since I had first met him at 15. I was the the Cameron's house hanging out with sarah when he walked into the kitchen to grab and drink and I stared at him blushing as he smiled at me. 16 year old Rafe laughed realising I was blushing and walked outside.

And ever since then we had been on a couple dates during the summer until it all stopped for when I went to university.

"Would you be my girl, y/n?" Rafe asks smiling looking down at me. I smile and nod my head not knowing what else to say.

We spend the rest of the evening together watching the sun set in front of us. The sound of the waves crashing against the rocks.

The next day, we met up again at the beach away from the Pogue party that was happening there. We weren't going to be caught by them yet, I'd find a way to tell them myself. I knew they wouldn't approve of my now boyfriend and that's why they never knew about us dating during the summer. It was only meant to be a summer fling, at least I thought it was, when I caught feelings for the Kook Prince again. I never thought he felt the same way.

We had grown up together and knew mostly everything about each other. But now being able to go out with Rafe and not have to hide was the best feeling.

After a few months, I finally told the Pogues, they reacted way different to how I thought they would. John B was a bit wary about it at first but finally came around to the idea of his sister dating the Kook Prince. The Kooks on the other hand weren't so sure of the Kook Prince dating the Pogue Princess. They had never liked us. I knew who Topper was as he was dating Sarah and had always told her to stay away from me but she never listened.

The time had finally come, the time that I had to go back to university. Long distance would always be hard but we tried, it did work. Our relationship was at strong as ever.
