We had been dating for a while. It had only been a little over 6 months and things were great. Rafe Cameron was the best boyfriend I could ever ask for. He always surprised me with cute dates or little presents every now and again. Last month he surprised me with a matching gold ring to his, I loved it and haven't taken it off since. When we are together, they both shine in the sunlight and clink against each other when holding hands.

This Summer was the hottest it had been in years. We were due to have a huge heatwave and I wasn't ready for it. I got really bad sun burn from always being outside for too long. I loved the hot weather even though it was something we got a lot of in Outer Banks. I had plans for most of the 6 weeks until we were starting college.

Rafe Pov:
Y/n. My girlfriend of just over 6 months. I loved her a lot, I truly did love her. She was the first girl it openly said I loved, she brought out the good in me. I hated her being friends with JJ but they had been best friends since they were younger so I couldn't stop that. He did seem quite nice, but he always got way too close to her at parties and I didn't like that. She is mine and mine only.

I had given her many cute, little gifts for our half a year anniversary. She now has a matching gold
ring to mine. It was now Summer and we had many fun dates planned before college.

Y/N Pov:
There was going to be a huge party tomorrow night at the beach. The Pogues were invited which meant I could have fun with my boyfriend and his friends and then my Pogue friends! Topper was throwing the party and invited the Pogues because of Sarah being friends with Kie, even though he hated the Pogues. He did everything for Sarah. Rafe thought of it as a bit pathetic which sometimes I agreed with but it was cute all the same.

I was getting ready at my house for the party. I invited Sarah and Kiara over so we could all hang out together before we spilt up at the party. Kiara was confusing, I never knew whether she liked JJ, Pope or John B. Sarah didn't know either but I figured she liked JJ. Pope was lovely but he just wasn't that fun anymore, all he cared about was his scholarship and never thanked JJ for taking the blame for him. John B was too obsessed with the gold and Sarah. He has a lot of beef with Topper and Rafe but I try to stay out of it.

JJ was the only one I didn't seem to mind. He was also really nice and extremely hyper. forever high on drugs. He tells you everything when he's high. The last time I spoke to him was about me and Rafe getting together and that was already 6 months ago. He was high, which was probably the worst time I could have told him, and he told me exactly what he thought of me and Rafe. It shocked me to think he really thought like that and I haven't spoken to him since so the party was the first time I will see him in over 6 months.

I knew Rafe hated him and was pretty jealous of JJ and ever since I told him what he said about me he has had it out for him big time. His drug dealer Barry, who is a piece of shit, pretended to be a cop and pulling the Pogues over. I was sat in the back of the van which Rafe didn't know until after. He held a gun to our heads making us lay down in the ditch, before searching for the gold John B had tried to pawn off to, I'm guessing, one of Barry's friends.

I didn't speak to Rafe for about a week until he explained himself and why he did it and I forgave him. I still to this day don't know why I ever got in that van that day as I knew John B and JJ were going to do some dumb shit.
