A/N: This is going to be quite long but I loved this idea and had to do it

Mrs Country Club. That's what they called me. Even my own brother called me it. Topper was Rafe's best friend which meant I saw Rafe around at our house a lot. The Cameron family and mine, The Thornton family, were very close. That close in fact, we had lunch together at the Country Club every Sunday afternoon after a game of golf. I never played golf, I never saw the fun Topper and Rafe saw in it. You just hit the small golf ball into a hole.

I would normally just sit on the back of the golf cart with a book and iced coffee in hand. They would play for hours in the morning before meeting the parents for lunch. I'd get up early to go with Topper and Rafe to the golf course to just sit and read and sometimes watch the sun rise. It was the most gorgeous view from the golf course. If it was quiet enough you could hear the waves crashing against the rocks and the little birds chirping in the trees. It was ever so relaxing, I'd just throw on some shorts and a crop top in the morning grab an iced coffee from the fridge.

It was Sunday, 19th August. I'd gotten up earlier than usual so I'd have time to walk to the golf course and still get there on time. Topper liked to have a schedule which Rafe always ignored. We would meet Rafe at the golf course at around 9:00am. It would normally be around 9:35 by the time I'd gotten ready. But today was different, it was my birthday! I was finally turning 18. I was of legal age to drink, (and date Rafe without it being weird) no more hiding it from my parents. I packed a book and some snacks into my bag then grabbed a drink from the fridge and walked out the front door closing it quietly behind me. I set off on my walk to the golf course. The 20 minute walk ended up being a lot longer than I thought.

Once I'd gotten to the country club, I made my way through the reception out onto the golf course. There they were, golf clubs ready. They soon saw me and Topper waved enthusiastically, making me laugh. What an idiot. I unenthusiastically waved back and walked over to them. I sat down on the golf cart and grabbed my book out of my bag. It was now Toppers turn to hit the golf ball, he was never really that good at it but he enjoyed it so I never intended to ruin his moment and tell him how bad he was. He hit the ball right into the pond which infuriated him and made him storm off to go retrieve it. Rafe walked over and took a seat next to me. "Happy birthday mrs country club." Rafe smirked. "Don't you start that as well. But thank you." I said smiling.

"I have a special surprise for you later. Now your finally 18, how's it feel?"
"The exact same to be honest. Don't really know what i expected. I get to drink legally now though I guess? So I'll be at more of your parties."
"It will be nice to see you there."
Topper comes storming back. I throw him a new golf ball which he somehow misses. The hall hits him in the chest. "OMFG! Im so sorry Top!" I shout, trying to hold my laughter in. Rafe bursts into hysterics, then making me laugh as well. Topper stands there unamused.

"You two definitely are meant for each other. You both laugh at other peoples pain." He frowns and walks away to take his next shot.

A couple hours went by and I'd finished reading my book. I checked my phone and saw a couple messages from my dad.

'You, Topper and Rafe better hurry up. The reservations at 12:00. The Cameron's have just showed up.'

'Yes father I'll go tell them now. We won't be long. Topper may need an ice pack btw.'

'Just hurry up I'll go get one now.'

"Rafe! Topper! Our parents are at the club! Let's go!"
"Coming y/n!"
