"Are you sure my makeup is fine?"

"Are you sure my makeup is fine?"

"You look amazing, Lia." I placed my hands on her shoulder. We were in the dressing room doing the final touches on her costume. There were about 40 minutes before the musical started.

"You're just saying that because you have to."

"No, I don't."

"Yes, you do, you're my best friend, and you're obligated to say things I want to hear."

"You're going to be fantastic, Lia. You put in a lot of effort for this, and you're going to blow everyone away."

"Really."

"Positive." I wrapped my arms around her.

Our moment was interrupted by a cough. Yeonjun was holding out a bouquet for Lia with Soobin standing behind him.

"Is it for me?" Lia smiled. "Thank you so much." She took the bouquet from his grasp before getting up to hug him. I felt a stab of jealousy. I couldn't help but notice how perfect they looked together. A little too perfect, they both enjoy music and theater. How could I ever compete with that?

"Are you nervous?" Lia asked Yeonjun. "Because my fingers won't stop shaking.

He grabbed her hands and connected their fingers, "You'll be fine, I promise."

"That's what I told her, but she's not listening." I shook my head.

Lia let go of Yeonjun's hands and started fanning herself. "Okay, but this is my first performance, and I'm the main lead. That's a lot of pressure."

"Lia, you're one of the best vocalists I've ever heard." Soobin interrupted.

"Okay, but you-"

"I'm not just saying that." He cut her off before she could complete her sentence. "You're amazing." The two looked at one other for a few seconds before becoming silent. When I looked up, Yeonjun had a smile on his face. "Guys, let's head towards the stage."

"Yeah," Lia said, snapping out of her trance.

We exited the dressing rooms and headed backstage, where the rest of our classmates were. Some were panicking, running around the room. Nerves seemed to be affecting everyone.

"Everyone, please gather around; I'd like to say a few words before we start." Mr.Park signaled for everyone to gather, which we did. "Before you go on that stage, I'd like you all to know that I am so proud of myself and the work I have done."

"Ehem." I coughed.

"Let me finish. You guys should also be proud of yourselves. We've all come so far, and this is it. So I want you to go out there and give it your all."

"Lia, I'm not feeling good." I turned to Lia. "Remember last summer when we went on that roller coaster, and I puked all over the ride?"

"Yeah."

"Well, that's how I feel right now."

"You're nervous." A voice whispered in my ear. I jumped a bit and turned to face Yeonjun. I couldn't help but stare at how handsome he looked in his costume.

"Why am I nervous? I'm not going on the stage at all."

"Because you care," Yeonjun smiled at me before turning to face the audience. "I'm nervous as well, so wish me luck."

I watched as Yeonjun scanned the audience. I'm not sure what possessed me, but I leaned forward until I was leveled with him and kissed his cheek gently. I quickly pulled away. He didn't respond, which made me feel embarrassed.

I shouldn't have done that.

He gave me a deadpan expression. "What was that for?"

"Luck," I said nervously. Embarrassment crept across my face, and I turned light pink.

"I'm a need a lot more luck than that." Suddenly Yeonjun wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me closer to him. My heart started beating very fast. I froze and looked from his eyes to his lips.

He leaned down and pressed his lips against mine. I was in brief shock, but soon my lips started moving against his. It felt like it lasted forever yet ended all too soon as I pulled away from him, only now remembering we were in the presence of our classmates.

I stood there baffled, not knowing what to say to him. How could he be so smooth and confident like that? It was more shocking than the first time we kissed.

Mr.Park came running through, interrupting our moment. Okay, we're on in 5 minutes. Everybody places."

I didn't even have time to wish Yeonjun luck before he walked away. I couldn't stop the angry blush from spreading across my face.

Good Luck, Yeonjun.

Good Luck, Yeonjun
