"Katrina, what are you doing here? You swore you wouldn't ever come back to this place again. How silly of me to believe you."

"And I thought you promised Tatiana would stay in the human world. Also how silly of me to believe you. She is our daughter. No yours, ours. And I intend on taking her home."

Katrina walked to wards the desk and crossed her arms. She was pissed off. I could tell.

You see Katrina and I grew up together here in Persephone, she attended school in the palace with me because her father was a close family friend and our chef, so they lived here with us.

When we finished school with our tutor we were in love, so married and she become my Queen.

But Katrina wanted to travel so I joined her, traveling the world but being drawn to a town in the human world, just near Persephone's Forrest.

She wanted to stay, but me being young and ignorant- agreed and so we brought a house and she eventually became pregnant with our Tatiana.

We lived together, my parents ruling Persephone for now, until I returned to take my rightful place as king I visited everyday and a few years later when Tatiana was 7, Katrina was pregnant again, this time with Maggie. I wanted to return to my people and be their king but Katrina was happy where we were. We fought and decided, I would take Maggie and she would have Tatiana. We erased our daughters minds from any memory of each other and I demanded that any of our kind in the human world must come to Persephone immediately. Katrina was known as the lost queen. And I never saw her again, well until today.

I hated having to tell Tatiana that Maggie was only her half sister and that I tried loving someone else. But it was the only way.

"She was beginning to figure out her specialized powers. I did what I had to and there were trolls, hunting her in the school you put her in. You moved her to unknown towns and back again- out of bounds of the protective borders. You left her alone for weeks on end, in fact I'm surprised they didn't find her earlier!"

I stood up, I was mad. Very mad.

"And you're the one who let her come here instead of getting more boarders up around her!" Katrina was yelling now throwing her arms up in a fluster of motion.

"Do you even know what her specialized powers are? Do you?" I was the king and I would remain calm.

"She has affinity for all elements. Every single one of them, and do you know what is going to happen once that word gets out and speeds around? She will be hunted. And killed."

"Fine. Keep her here, but while she is, I intend on staying with her. In the palace. I don't give a shit if I'm not wanted here, but I'll be staying."

"Fine, go now."

Katrina left, I'm not sure where but she was still the beautiful string willed women I knew all those years ago. I missed her, I mean we never used to fight and well I guess I could now see where Tatiana got it from.

We travelled all day and most of the night to the nest where my princess, the real one was being kept. Monsters lurked around every corner, they flew in the sky and swam in any nearby lakes and rivers so I know we had our work cut out for us. My group of 20 warriors and I were disguised as the trolls. Everyone could master a transfiguration spell and it wasn't that hard. We got in through the security checks and split up.

Being the leader of the kings army, I had a mental link to every warrior, I could feel there emotions when I wanted to so I felt fine with letting them fan out. We split into 4 groups of 5- our aim? Get the princess out and remain anonymous.
