"Okay, stand like this and hold your fists out." Andrew said, standing in a fighting stance and you nodded, 10 year old you copying his movement and Ajax who had just turned 11 was also there.

"Now do this." He threw a punch. "Put all your strength in it."

You nodded and did the same thing, throwing a pretty good punch for a little girl.

"Atta girl!" He kneeled, giving you a pat on the back.

"Why do i have to learn this?" You asked, tilting your head to look up at your older brother.

"So then if I'm ever gone, you can protect yourself." He answered, standing back up.

"But I'll always be here to protect her!" Ajax pouted, crossing his arms.

Andrei, who was watching the scene, let out a deep chuckle. "I hope that never changes."

Memories would appear in his dreams as if they were haunting him- telling him that it was his fault Childe couldn't protect you.

He couldn't sleep at night, and it was obvious to everyone when the dark circles under his eyes became darker each day and it was also obvious when no one heard his snores at night.

It was to the point that the Ysaritsa would come in whenever she sensed he had trouble sleeping, and would hold his hand in a way a mother would to help him fall asleep.

That happened for the first few days of the week to the point Childe would message her whenever he had trouble sleeping and she'd be in the room in less than a minute.

Even while Childe would constantly thrash or twist and turn, the Tsaritsa stayed by his side. At one point when he couldn't sleep, he revealed that he felt like everything was his fault you were in a coma.

The Tsaritsa had instead lay beside him that night, holding him like a mother would hold his son as she reassured that nothing was his fault, and that even if he couldn't remember when you both were kids, then at least you could remember her as a friend in the Fatui.

Childe felt comforted by the words and thanked her, but he didn't admit that deep inside he still felt the same as always.

Halfway through the third week, tension was starting to rise along with nervousness. You had 5 days to wake up or else the plug is pulled.

Everyone tried to focus on the good side, but it was hard to fight back the nauseating feeling whenever they thought of you not waking up.

Of course, the group chat has its ways of making everyone feel slightly better.
