It has been two days since that happened and in those two days, hindi na rin ako pinapansin ni Ms. Solana. Whenever I try to interact with her, she'd immediately distance herself away from me or make excuses.
Today wasn't any different.
Since tapos na kami sa planned activities na magkakasama kaming lahat, napag-isipan na namin na magkanya-kanya muna. Mamaya na siguro ako aalis, maaga pa naman.
Since it's morning, I decided to have an early swim sa pool dahil wala pa naman masyadong tao. The professors went out daw sabi nung staff tas si Ely, tulog pa sa kwarto namin. Maevis was having her coffee on the kitchen. So we really have our own thing going on.
As I kept on swimming, naalala ko na naman ang nangyari when we were at the hidden place, I still feel stupid for doing that, if it weren't for that ay sana nagpapansinan pa kami ni Ms. Solana.
The awkwardness that night was unbearable. Do'n nagsimula na hindi niya ako pinapansin, and I've tried many times to reach out to her but she kept on dismissing me. So I tried to conceal that I was hurt a few times and enjoyed the rest of the trip, well.. sort of.
After swimming a few laps, umahon na ako sa pool and grabbed my towel para punasan ang katawan ko. Maliligo rin ako ulit sa taas at mag-aayos na dahil gusto ko rin lumabas kahit wala naman ako'ng ideya kung saan ako pupunta.
When I was about to enter the house, lumabas naman si Maevis at mukhang gising na rin si Elyzra dahil magkasama pa talaga silang dalawa.
"Bakit di mo ko inaya mag swimming?" Maevis asked when she saw me.
"I like to have a peaceful swim, Almonte."
"Luh, grabe ka naman sa'kin." Parang nagtatampo pa ito dahil napapayuko pa, I just chuckled at her reaction. Nakakalimutan ko talaga na mas bata pala 'to sa'kin.
"Khio, we'll be drinking later at Hara. Walang aayaw ha, you kept on going to our room after natin makauwi sa villa." Nagmamaktol na sabi ni Ely kasama si Maevis.
"Tayong tatlo lang?"
"Yep, ayaw mo ata a." Sabi naman ni Maevis at may pa pout pa ang gunggong.
"Fine. As if you won't drag me later if hindi ako papayag."
"At least you're aware that it's gonna happen to you once you decline."
"I know you too well, Elyzra." Umiiling kong sagot. "What time?"
"We can hang out this afternoon since it's our free time tas diretso na tayo do'n."
I nod as a response at nagpasya na rin kami na mag-ayos, these two have their own plans and what I mean by that is with the other professors. Halata naman when I asked them kung ano'ng gagawin nila before we go out mamayang hapon.
Once I was done prepping myself, I wore a white ribbed cropped tank top, white shorts and topped it off with a blue striped polo shirt, sinuot ko na rin ang white strap sandals ko and paired it with my army green adidas cap and lastly a tote bag to put some of my important things.
"Ely, mauna na ako." Paalam ko bago bumaba, nakita ko rin na nagsidatingan na ang mga Professors. Ms. Solana's smile immediately faded when she saw me which made me feel a little hurt again, but I shrugged that thought off. I don't want to seem affected in front of her.
"Aalis ka, Khione?" Ms. Vivien asked when she saw me.
"Ah yes po, just gonna find something to do."
"Wait— do you want to come with me? I told you that I'll take you to that pottery shop remember?" Oo nga pala, I forgot na tuturuan niya daw ako gumawa ng sarili kong clay pot. That idea brought excitement to me kaya hindi ko mapigilan na mapangiti.
