"you are not a figure head, yes me and hachi come up with all of the battleplans, but without you those plans don't succeed, and our best EVA pilots have lost, you have lost only one real battle, and that was with no training or experience since then you have won every battle you enter, shinji just stay safe, if you fall, our entire navy falls apart, you are our symbol" she said

shinji's wait and see approach started to get rather dangerous when the mimetic beasts learned where their enemies were located and started to specifically attack bases
"have all of the bases retreat here to danner base" i said
"what that would leave several nations defenseless" kiriko said, i shook my head
"our enemy is targeting us, the ones with weapons capable of stopping them, we should gather together for one big stand, where we can stand together and stand strong, with danner out of the picture, since your head pilot wants to be stubborn and refuses the help i have offered him, we have no choice but to move our resources to one location so we can push the bastards back" i said, kiriko hesitated, but reluctantly gave the order
"now what" she asked, as shukuyu and moukaku looked towards their commander
"you two prepare your centurion, you will provide cover and bombard everything that comes near us" i ordered, they saluted and went to prepare their unit

"he was right then and he is still right to this day, we know ourselves, or at least i know what i am the centurion can do which is enough, but we don't know the enemy at all" i said she bit her lip but nodded as she watched
it seems shinji was right as tatsuya aoi the founder had returned and taken over danner base, and as the mimetic beast merged into a huge monstrous entity
"open a channel" i said, the comms officer did as she was told
"sovereign, you have green light, all forces begin assault, super-lehmann level threat confirmed, shukuyu moukaku your orders are simple you are to safeguard this base, all non-vanguard pilots are to retreat behind the centurion, things are about to get rather bumpy" i said, as i watched as the entire fallen vanguard navy decloaked and launched it's many, many units which assaults the massive beast at once, killing it almost instantly as it also began to kill all stragglers of the mimetic beasts, they then began to scramble
"where are they going" kiriko asked
"we have been waiting for the beasts to do something big, so we could get a final reading on them using that reading we can track their 'nests' and deal with them at the source" i replied, she blinked not expecting that response
"this was is over, and you lot are about to need to find new employment, as everything you idiots use are paperweight piles of junk" i said, as i walked out of the command center, heading towards the hanger so i could return to the sovereign
