Do you know the thoughts

Do you know the thoughts
after history?
You must walk in pairs,
when it's dark outside.
And only walk the paths,
where there's street lights.
You must make sure your phone is fully charged,
each time that you leave the house.
And remember to message your girls,
to make sure they got home safe after that night out.
Cover up your chest,
cover up your ass,
cover up your legs.
Or they will decide whether to smash or pass.
Shouting,
whistling,
calling out the names.
You cannot even walk to the shop,
without the fear of being kidnapped or even raped.
You're dancing with the girl,
but there's hands all over your body.
And if you say no,
than it could just be anybody.
The lengths you have to go through,
just to be safe.
Don't wear heels,
flats will be better.
Because flats will help you run faster.
You can't listen to music,
as walk the streets alone.
Just incase someone comes up behind you,
that you wouldn't know.
You can't trust a man,
not even the ones you trust the most.
You get taken advantage of
and doing things just to boast.
I'm not an object.
I'm not a piece of meat.
I'm not a silly little girl.
And I'm not someone falling at your feet.
The places that I can't be.
And all the things that we all see.
And hear, and feel, every single day.
Do you know the thought,
that aren't going away?
