"And that's a podium for Yuki Tsunoda!"

"Oh my god! Let's fucking go!" Yuki could barely believe it! Just his fourth race with Red Bull and he had gotten a podium! A podium in Monaco too! Max had finished first (like usual), and he wasn't sure who was third. It was either Lewis or Oscar.

"Great job Yuki!" He heard his engineer say over the radio. "Verstappen is first, then it's you, and then Gasly."

"Pierre?" Yuki didn't really mean to question that out loud.

"Yes. Hamilton and Piastri had an incident on the last corner."

Yuki was a bit surprised. He was very happy though. He got to share his first podium with his...he wasn't too sure how to label his relationship with Pierre. Best friend?

He climbed out of his car after parking it behind the second place marker. His feet had just touched the ground when he felt two arms wrap around him from behind.

He immediately knew who it was. He turned around to face him. "Pierre!"

"Yuki!" After a few seconds of laughter, they broke apart.

Everything else seemed to go by in a flash. They talked with Max in the cool down room, they went out to the podium, they received their trophies, they sprayed champagne, they celebrated with their teammates.

Soon enough the two of them, along with all the other drivers and a few team members, were downtown in a large club.

Max had been the one that picked where they went since he had won, and of course he had to pick the most crowded club possible. Yuki wasn't a fan of the sweaty bodies pressed up against him as he tried to move through the crowd.

"I'm gonna go get a drink!" He yelled to Pierre over the noise of the loud music, which Pierre gave a lopsided smile and thumbs up to in return. He was about to offer to grab Pierre something, but reconsidered upon remembering the Frenchmen had already drank more than anyone would see fit.

Yuki felt bad for leaving Pierre, but he needed to step away from the dance floor and the hoards of people covering it.

After ordering his drink, and taking a second to breathe at the bar, he slowly started to make his way back to Pierre.

Pierre, I hope you haven't done anything stupid while I was gone. He thought on his way back.

Pierre had in fact done something that some would consider stupid.

Yuki hoped to peacefully resume his conversation with Pierre, but after pushing through the crowd once again, he found his friend wrestling another man to the ground.

Yuki didn't have time to comprehend the situation before two security guards were pulling Pierre and the other man off and away from each other.

"Pierre what the hell?!" Yuki yelled, storming over. He grabbed Pierres wrist and dragged him towards the exit.

"Hey, are you guys good?" Yuki heard Charles call from behind him as they were about to leave.

"Yeah," Yuki responded, turning around. "I think it's time Pierre gets going though."

Charles opened his mouth to object when Pierre cut in instead.

"Whattttt? Noooo! I'm fine! R-really!" He said in a slurred voice, slumped against Yuki's shoulder.

"Yeah that's a good idea." Charles says waving goodbye.

The hotel wasn't too far from the club, so Yuki figured it wouldn't be too difficult to walk.

Good god was he wrong.

Not only did he have to deal with Pierre leaning against him, almost unable to walk, but he was mindlessly giggling and mumbling the whole walk there. He'd say something almost inaudible to which Yuki would reply "Uh huh." And then Pierre would break out into fits of laughter.

"Can we please go back, Yukiiii?"

"No."

"I'm not even drunk."

"I have never seen you more drunk in my life."

"Well obviously you don't know me that well then."

"We basically lived together for two years."

Pierre said something incoherent.

"What?"

Pierre didn't answer and stayed silent for a while. Yuki definitely wasn't complaining.

They had finally reached the hotel parking lot.

"Look at that car!"

"Pierre, that's your car."

They reached the lobby and Yuki pulled Pierre to the elevator.

"Can I press all the buttons?"

"No."

"Can we go to the top floor?"

"No."

"Have I ever told you how pretty you are?"

"No-" Yuki turned towards Pierre. "What?"

"Can we go to the roof?"

"Uhm...No."

The elevator finally dinged and they both got out. Yuki took Pierre by the hand and led him to his room, which was luckily enough right next to Yuki's.

He fished out Pierres key card from the man's pocket and opened the door. Upon entering the room, he swiftly led Pierre to the bathroom. He knew it was a matter of time until Pierre started throwing up.

And soon enough that was exactly what happened. After a few minutes Pierre sat back from the toilet, leaned against the wall, and started crying.

"Oh, Pierre," Yuki kneeled down in front of him. "It's ok. Come on, this happens to all of us. It's not that embarrassing." Yuki reached forward and patted his arm.

"It's not that." Pierre choked out in between sobs.

"Ok then. What's wrong? You can tell me." Yuki leaned against the wall next to Pierre, their legs brushing.

"It's Kika. Last night, after you and I talked, when she called me, she told me she's breaking up with me. That's why I was quiet on the ride home."

Yuki didn't say anything. He just simply leaned over and wrapped his arms around Pierre. Pierre turned and hugged him back.

They would have stayed like that for a while, but Pierre felt himself getting ready to barf again and quickly pulled away.

After a good 15 minutes, and once Pierre was done emptying his stomach of the night's festivities, Yuki led him back into the main part of the room and helped him out of his button up.

After getting his tight clothes off, Pierre threw himself into bed. Yuki walked over and turned off his bedside lamp.

"Good night Pierre." He said turning around to leave.

Pierre grabbed his hand and pulled him back before he could.

"Can you stay with me?" He whispered.

Yuki sighed. "Ok, fine. Just until you fall asleep."

Pierre moved over so Yuki could lay down next to him.

After laying in silence for a while, Yuki felt Pierres arms snake around his waist and pull him closer. They stayed like that in silence for a while until Yuki spoke.

"Why'd you get into that fight?"

Pierre didn't answer, but Yuki heard his breath hitch and knew he was still awake.

"It was because of Kika wasn't it? Someone said something about her, or about the two of you breaking up. Didn't they?"

Still no answer.

"Pierre, I really wanna know-"

"It was about you."
