the only love I know claims victims
resembling an unsuspecting contender
of the chinese finger trap
if only I knew how to hold you gently, let go
nonchalance would set us free
to indulge in a warm reciprocal love
rather, I grip, I cling, I claw
a heated affair until we bleed
inflicting pain on both ends
