When all the world was blurred to me,
You opened my sullen eyes to see
The other side,
Where fleeting minds of men reside
Inside the shell where groups divide
And multiply.

You told me of a world of light,
Laughter, smiles and sheer delight
That I greatly liked.
For that, Mama, I offer you thanks
You gave me light despite the stakes
That we'll die one day.

Possessions fade away
And blissful memories erase
the frown in our faces that our foes have cultivated.
Mama, what do you think awaits for me?
Scattered bones and shattered skulls
Lined up past the ruined halls?
Or a vibrant sky of clouds that rain
drops of happiness and hope?
I know I'll have to die to see
What's coming to us for eternity.

The evil eye beneath our minds
creates lies that seem so real.
Sweet dreams turn sour,
And nightmares come true.
Mama, death is not the end,
For nothing is ever sweeter
Than the brave stepping into oblivion.

My fleeting mortal life will fade one day.
In the peakest of my youth,
For us, I'll pioneer the seas
that piqued our curious mind,
and I'll find the chosen way,
The way dead men have long tried to find.
