Alex's point of view - 10 years later - New York
New York City, the city that never sleeps! Narating din ulit kita!
Matagal tagal na rin kasi akong di nakakarating sa New York. I took up medicine kasi at ngayon lang lumuwag luwag ang schedule ko. I didn't end up like my parents who became celebrities pero because of my looks, I became a celebrity doctor. Ako ang naging Dr. Mike Varshavski ng Pilipinas.
"Alex, dalian mo. Mag-che-check-in pa tayo." Ang sigaw ng dad ko na si Richard Faulkerson Jr. He's in his 50s na but he doesn't look like it. He looks exactly as he did 10 years ago. Beside him is his husband, tito Rodjun. They became a couple 4 years ago and married each other 2 years ago.
What happened with him in tito Seb, you ask? Well, they decided to remain friends. Siyempre with benefits pero noon yun ay before him and tito Rodjun decided to settle down. Anyway, it was both Dad and Tito Seb who decided they were better off as friends. Siyempre noong una heartbroken sila pareho and they fought hard to make it work but in the end, it wasn't really meant to be. That was 6 years ago. Like with mom, di nawala ang friendship ni Tito Seb at ni Dad. Ang nawala lang ay yung kaharutan nilang dalawa. I can still remember the image of them porking sa family room sa bahay ni dad. Super close pa rin nila. I don't know how that worked out pero I know that's a good thing.
"Ang bagal niyo maglakad. Kami ba ang 50 o kayo?" Ang sigaw ni mommy ko na si Nicomaine Mendoza. Katabi naman ni mommy si tita Janine Guttierez. They're getting married in 4 days kaya kami nasa New York. Crazy right?
What happened with them and Nadine naman? Well, tita Nadz has commitment issues. Yung pagsasama nilang dalawa was all fun and games lang kay tita Nadz. Apparently, she wanted to experience lots of different vaginas and phalluses kaya she and mom never worked out. Then 8 years ago, nagulat na lang siya na gusto siya ni tita Janine. They've been dating since then.
Eh paano naman si Tito Seb? Well…
"Wala na ba kayong ibabagal pa? Hello! May spa appointment pa kami ni Janine mamaya." Ang sigaw ni mommy. Tumatawa lang si tita Janine sa tabi niya. "Matti dalian niyo naman ni Sebastian! Jusko!"
Yun na. Nasa harap ko sila at napakabagal nila maglakad. "Mga tito, bakit ba ang bagal niyo kasi maglakad. Galit na si mommy? Don't tell me masakit puwet niyo pareho." Tumawa ako sa sarili kong joke pero nagulat ako na tumingin lang sila sakin at ngumiti ng parang guilty. Lalo akong natawa. Kaya pala nawala sila kanina sa eroplano.
Ang cute nila ni Matti. Sila ang power couple ng Philippine showbiz ngayon. Everyone wants to know pero they learned how to keep their relationship to themselves by learning from mom and dad. Ang galing nga eh. I guess yun ang naging reason why everything happened during the past 10 years.
"Celestine, bakit ba ang layo mo?" Ang tawag ko sa kapatid ko na nasa likuran ko. I got closer to her para naman may kasabay siya maglakad. "Ano ba kasi nangyari?"
"Nahihiya ako kay tito Seb at Matti." Namula si Celestine.
"Bakit naman?"
"Nahuli ko kasi sila kanina sa lavatory ng eroplano. Di sila marunong maglock." Sabi niya. Natawa lang ako. No one ever learns.
