Chapter 7 - Hope through darkness

Savitar looked into the shatter proof glass of the cell, watching Barry as if he was studying his every move, wanting to be ready in case of another attack, he sighed out softly "what the hell happened to you in there Barry?..." Savitar breathed out quietly, almost to himself. Unaware to him that Joe stood behind him, watching Savitar with cautious eyes, walking beside him "your telling me you haven't even seen this before?" Joe asked quietly, Savitar shook his head and told him "no...not to this extent, this is something else..." Joe choked out a sigh "I can't lose him like this..." Joe stated calmly as Savitar turned to him slightly sympathetically but still grudgingly, placing a firm hand on his shoulder "you won't...he's strong he'll pull through this..." he told him softly, noticing he has a small razor and metal tray of water, turning around to leave "I'll leave you to it..." Savitar began to walk away as Joe called out to him, he turned his head ever so slightly "t-thanks...I may have not forgotten or forgiven you for what happened...but...I'm alright to give it a try..." Joe stated calmly with a sad smile on his face, Savitar chuckled softly, turning his head fully to look at him "I'm not looking for forgiveness, I'd never want it...but thanks" he walked out of the pipeline into the cortex, sitting down outside the med bay, holding his head in his hands, sighing out breathlessly "hey you alright?..." he heard a soft voice call from in front of him as he looked up to be faced with Caitlin and Cisco "yeah I mean I've seen Barry depressed before...but you look like an amalgamation of all of the times..." Cisco stated calmly in a somewhat joking tone as Caitlin hit his shoulder lightly. Savitar chuckled lightly, brushing of his problems "...don't worry about me, I'm fine..." as Caitlin met him at eye level "as much as you can deny it, your still him and have still got his traits...one them obviously being that he kept alot of stuff to himself..." Caitlin explained, smiling comfortably. "I don't know alright!...I don't know..." Savitar exclaimed, getting up and walking around, trying to wrap his head around the whole situation "Savitar your not alone in this..." Caitlin said softly, caressing his scarred face. Savitar closed his eyes ad he shuddered slightly "Don't..." Savitar breathed out quietly. They stood like that, just listening to each other's soft breathing, just then the crime alert was blaring through the star labs as the two of them was ripped out of their trance and Cisco ran to the monitors and called out to them "the Samurai is at it again dowtown...and we still don't have Barry back..." he sighed out defeated. Savitar knew exactly what he was feeling and grudgingly sped off to face the Samurai in person "hey jackass..." Savitar called out to the Samurai figure, vibrating his body and vocals so no one could tell who he was. The figure turned to him with its emotionless face "you are not the flash...yet you seem to hold his physique and similar vocals...you are intriguing" he deduced as Savitar smirked smugly "you have no idea..." he grinned sadistically, speeding right at the Samurai, dodging his blade attacks getting in a few good hits on him. The samurai attempted to clothesline him but Savitar saw this coming and grabbed ahold of his arm, swinging back around his body, holding him by his neck going for a neck snap. The figure took his sword and struck it against the concrete floor, propelling Savitar off him and onto the ground as he also threw his blade into his leg, crippling him as he yelled out in pain "bring me the flash or-..." "enough" Iris cut the samurai off, walking past Savitar's body "n-no" he groaned out in pain "what makes you confident he will come?" The figure asked "...because I know him better than anyone" she concluded as the Samurai wasted no time in picking her up and taking off with her. Savitar looked on as he instantly sped back as fast as he could, screaming in pain as he told them all what happened. Joe ran off to the pipeline immediately to the confusion of everyone back in the cortex.
