Chapter 15 - Kidnapped

A few more weeks had passed and it was now the Christmas holidays, Savitar wanted nothing to do with it but Caitlin managed to at least make him smile and wear a santa hat dispite his obvious tone against it.

Savitar made his way into the cortex where he heard the most obnoxious voices call out the phrase "baking soda!" He had no idea what was going an wanted nothing to do with it so he just stood in the entrance, letting them continue.

It was revealed that Ralph, Harry and Cisco were hanging out with Killer Frost, Savitar didn't know a thing about and for some reason found himself jealous, no it can't be, him jealous?

Ralph started making the situation worse by unknowingly making Cait feel unneeded, this angered Savitar beyond his boundaries and was ready to kill until Caitlin left, obviously upset. "Cait!" He called out to her as she continued walking out Star Labs. Savitar shot one last burning glare at them all before going after her.

Savitar followed Caitlin all the way to Jitters, just watching her. She ordered herself a coffee and sat herself down as he slowly made his way over to her "wow, it's quite common to see me brooding, but why Caitlin Snow?" He asked as he sat next to her "oh ha ha...i just thought I could escape her and now." She showed off the new drink she was having as Savitar pursed his lips "The Killer Frost" he chuckled slightly "now I can't escape her, I've spent so long trying to protect everyone from my villainous alter ego but now people can't get enough of her, they'd much rather hang out with her than me" she exasperated as she held her head in her hands, Savitar hated seeing Cait like this and ever so gently, took ahold of her hands "look I know how it feels to be in your situation I mean, I became who I am because of it...but your not like me, your...your special. To me, to Cisco, to everyone on the team and we'd much rather be hanging out with Caitlin, we hang out with Frost because she's different, she's more free and wild  but your amazing, beautiful, smart and not to mention you always know how to make every single one of us smile, especially me...and we both know that's a hard task to do" he told her truthfully as he gave a little joke at the end letting a soft giggle escape her lips "thank you Savitar" she told him with a small beaming smile on her lips "your welcome Dr Snow" he said gently as they leaned over and gently kissed each other as just then a huge eruption sent shards of glass flying everywhere as Amunet came walking in as Savitar told Caitlin to hide as he immediately felt a sharp pain in his leg ligaments as Amunet shot them with her shrapnel and tore them roughly out, sending him to the floor immediately, causing him the inability to run, Amunet took this opportunity and began curb stomping his face in, without his healing abilities he would've died. He gave one last glance at Caitlin before completely blacking out on the spot only with one single thought. I let her down.

Savitar laid in bed still unconscious but still able to hear the sounds of everyone around him, talking about Barry being missing too and this was getting to Savitar too much. He had memories of times when he was Barry and they'd spend time together, they slowly began to disappear as he saw his moments with Cait and her smile, her smile was the only thing to light up his darkness. He had failed her, he failed to protect her, the only thing he ever gave a damn about...gone.

An hour had passed and Savitar finally awoke from being unconscious, his ligaments almost completely healed but his anger still dangerously high, not at Amunet...but at himself. He spent the rest of his time in the speed lab, using his speed to let off steam and using his newly found rage to push through any pain barrier that came his way. Just then he had heard the sound of someone approaching the speed lab, he had thought it would be Ralph due to his and Cisco's argument but to his surprise it was actually Cisco checking in on him. Savitar sped out of the speed chamber to greet him, sweat dripping from his face and blood slowly falling from his nose from the amount of pain he kept inside for so long. Cisco sat him down and talked to him like he would with Barry "how could I ever be something to this city if I can't even protect the one person I love!?" He yelled out at him as he looked down, his hair darkening his eyes "I know that this is getting to you Savitar but look...everyone needs to lose now and again...Barry, Me, Caitlin....you. Caitlin is strong, she can survive with or without Killer Frost." He told him as he patted his shoulder and walked away leaving Savitar deep in his thoughts, still not being able to let go of his words.

Savitar sped up to the cortex, pulling on his coat as Iris managed to find Caitlin's location "East wing of St. Alexander hospital, that place has been closed for years." She told them as Cisco came out in his vibe gear and Ralph took out his suit with a grin on his lips.

Cisco opened a breach and Savitar couldn't wait any longer and ran headlong into it, opening up to see Amunet about to fire on Caitlin and someone else Savitar hadn't seen before. He used every ounce of strength he had to charge at her and propel her backwards as Cisco and Ralph ran in to pick up Caitlin and the new guy.

Savitar was ready to kill her until Cisco pulled him back dispite his arguing, Savitar took a deep breath and nodded softly, walking through the breach with Cisco by his side.

More time had passed and Barry finally returned to them and Savitar was talking with Cait after Cisco told her everything that had happened, she continued to press him on how she's ok, she wasn't hurt. Savitar still couldn't bare the thought of losing her.

Joe had invited them all around for Christmas, even Savitar which was a real surprise for him, they all made their way to his house when they saw the decorations up, it turns out Ralph had put them up to show them he's sorry about the way he acts and how they are all his friends.

Savitar sat down and heard Ralph tell Caitlin that no one is better than her and this made Savitar wink up at her with a smirk as she blushed lightly and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear "thank you and I know, I'm the one who saved the day this time" she answered almost in a cocky tone.

Minutes had passed and the whole group shared laughs, had fun and drank together. Dominic, the new meta, showed up for the get together and seemed to be enjoying himself quite well.

More time had passed and Barry left to check the loft. Soon after Dominic had to leave too as they all gave their goodbyes except from Savitar.

Unbeknownst to them, something terrible had happened to Barry and they couldn't do anything to stop it, this was one thing he couldn't outrun.
