All my life in have lived with autism. I have not ‘suffered’. Autism is not a disability it is a gift and any person who has it is in my opinion a highly respectable and should be respected by those around them. Living with autism has helped me in more ways than it has hindered me. If I didn’t have autism I doubt I would be as creative or as gifted as I am. In more than one way autism has made me who I am. Even though it took 13 years for an official diagnosis I have embraced who I am. Although it took me years to learn more than the basic emotions (yes learn) I am now able to fully decipher other peoples emotions and also learnt how to socialise properly. But without a lot of peoples help I would still be a shy reserved boy who sits in the back corner of every social event and ignore people who say my name wrong (btw its Matthew-Luke not Matthew 🤣🤣🤣) and I am forever thankful for them peoples help. I would not be anywhere near the person I am today.
