When you want to send a test, e-mail, et al try as much as you can to avoid too many abbreviation or stay away from using them completely. The receiver may end up not understanding your message. Make your message as explicit and comprehensive as possible.

Don't call anyone when it's clearly an odd hour. It's odd to call anyone before 5:00am and after 11:00pm. Except it's an emergency or there is a difference in the time zone.

When driving, be careful not to puddle-splash passersby. if you do so unknowingly, apologize immediately.
