Avoid talking with someone else when you are on the phone with another. It's so annoying to know that the person whom you are conversing with is not paying due attention.

Apart from a handshake, it is inappropriate to touch other body parts of someone you barely know or that you just met (especially with members of the opposite sex)

Most people think that they can stand anywhere they want in a public place and hold a conversation. If you meet someone you know and you're not saying a very brief 'hello', please do leave the aisle, door post, or wherever people tread. You don't need the Constant 'excuse me' from people asking you to make way for them

If someone's cloth is torn, stained, et al and they're not aware of it, politely call their attention to it. Don't make any embarrassing comment or jeer at them.

If you're sitting, always stand to receive a handshake from someone who is older, higher in status than you. Again, if an important guest e.g the Governor, President, et al enters the event hall, everyone sitting should stand to welcome them in.

If you bump into someone mistakenly, say 'excuse me' or 'sorry' immediately.
