Request? I don't remember anything. All I know is that I asked him to send me a video of him singing. Maybe he doesn't have a video so he sent me a vm instead.
I reached for my earphones on top of my bedside table and plugged it in. Talagang bumangon pa ako para dito kahit nakahiga na ako at handa nang matulog. Nagbukas lang ako ng social media pampaantok pero may new messages pala siya.
"Damn," I bit my lower lip when I heard him sing 'Lost Stars' by Adam Levine. It was my favorite song! Thankfully, he gave justice to it because he had such a nice voice. I couldn't deny it. His singing was even accompanied by the euphonious sound of an acoustic guitar. His falsetto sounded so pleasant to the ears.
"Tears, and God, give us a reason, youth is wasted on the young, it's hunting season..." Pinigilan ko ang sarili kong sumabay sa kanta nang magsimula na ang chorus. Ang lamig ng boses niya. Okay, fine. I'm already convinced that he's a vocalist indeed.

I stifled a smile when he sent a crying emoji. I felt really bad for denying that his voice was great. Gusto ko lang siyang asarin pero magaling talaga siya.
"Ay palaka!"
Muntik ko nang mabitawan ang phone ko nang bigla itong mag-ring. He was calling me through Messenger video call! Ugh, what does he want this time? Anong oras na, oh!
I frantically rejected the call before anybody in this house hears the ringtone. Tumayo ako at dahan-dahan na sumilip sa pinto ng kwarto ko para tingnan kung tulog na ang pamilya ko. Nang makitang patay na ang lahat ng ilaw, dumeretso ako sa balcony. Ayoko sa kwarto dahil baka marinig ako ni Kuya since magkatabi kami ng bedroom.
"What?" bungad ko nang sagutin ko ang tawag.
"Hindi ka naniniwala? Gusto mo, live?"
