A WONDER Full Tale

Wandering alone the woods by home

Once occurred a strange tale,

Noticed I a golden stag

Disappearing into a wonder veil,

Eager to befriend, I followed

Reached a perilous stunning dale.

Walloping nearby a winged horse

On him I leaped with all my might,

Northwards we soared, hundreds of miles

Dawn fell first, then deadly night,

Exhaustion forced us to descend

Refuge we took, in a castle white.

Wicked was the witch who guarded

Oh! Jealously trapped a maiden dear,

Noble features, flawless hair

Descendent, certain, of King Lear,

Earnest and swift was my decision

Rescue her I would, devoid of fear.

Warrior like I felt at once

On her I dug my ancestral knife,

Ninety years have passed by since

Danger I dared, not caring life,

Emerged I victorious in the end

Reward I earned, my beautiful wife.
