Four- Remus

"Sirius wait" I call after him as he runs away but it's no use

Wow, great going Remus, you messed everything up, he confessed he loves you and you had to try and act like a straight boy. Well done.

I run after Sirius, hoping that perhaps I might get the chance to confess my undying love to him.

How could I be stupid, to push him away like that? I search the castle the whole of my free period, knowing Sirius has a free period as well.

"Full moon last night, Lupin, have a nice stroll did you?" Asks Severus as I pass him in the hall "do you ever shut up or do you take pride in being an insufferable asshole?" I ask, stopping my search to face him, he laughs dryly "ever the joker, Remus" snaps Severus, I roll my eyes "look was there a point to this encounter or do you just like constantly being in my way?" I ask, because frankly I have more important matters to get to, such as a very attractive guy my age who has long black curls and the deepest eyes

"Only asked you if you enjoyed the moon" says Severus defensively "you knew full well what you were doing, Severus, I know you know what I am now just piss off" I state angrily as I push past him and walk on. Where to go? I'll just check the common room, he might be there, he might not it all depends on my tactics.

"Moony, didn't know you had a free period too" says James, stopping me in the hallway. Really, James, out of all the times you could annoy the ever loving shit out of me, you choose now, right now, when I'm trying to find the one person I seem to have fallen in love with.

"Yeah, I do, Prongs. What're you doing?" I ask, I can't just walk off past James like I do with Severus, James will ask questions and that's just not what I need right now. "I'm trying to find lily" replies James, I sigh and roll my eyes "you not over her yet? For Christ's sake, James, she's said no a million times what're you doing to do this time?" I ask, James smirks, I have a feeling this is not going to be good "well we have a gig at the three broomsticks dont we? In three weeks, I'm going to ask her to come see us play, which reminds me, next free period we all have, me you and Padfoot need to do some band practice, Peter dropped out, said he wasn't musically gifted" replies James

"Alright well your singing better sweep her off her feet because my drumming certainly won't and neither will Sirius' bass playing" I state, James just laughs at this, pats me on the back and starts to walk away. Finally.

"Moony" begins James, I groan inwardly and turn to face him "yes, Prongs" I reply "do you think she'll come?" Asks James, I shrug "only one way to find out isn't there, Prongs" I reply, he smiles and nods and then the one person he was looking for walks down the hall "later, moony" says James as he hurriedly walks down the hall "Evans wait up!" I hear him call as he walks down the hall to catch up with lily "keep dreaming, Potter" I hear her reply, I smile, shaking my head as I continue my search for Sirius

I finally get to the gryffindor common room and come face to face with the fat lady "password" says the fat lady in a posh tone, I fumble my memory for the password and finally remember it "pig snout" I reply, she nods and the portrait swings open. I see Sirius standing in the common room, facing the fire, he runs his fingers through his hair in frustration and I hear him muttering "stupid stupid! He's never gonna feel the same stupid!"

I decide to sneak around him, he doesn't notice due to the fact he's too focused on his stress to care who else was in the room. I still his hands with my own and take them out of his hair "who the bloody hell is..." but he trails off as he looks into my eyes "Remus" Sirius states simply as he sees me "Remus I- I um" stutters Sirius. I let him compose himself and wait for him to find the words he needs to express to me, I'm still holding his hands and he doesn't object

"Remus I. I didn't want you finding out about how I felt because I know there's no way you'd feel the same way. Even if you were gay there's no way you'd pick me, I- I'm far too ugly and I- you're way out of my league and I'm sorry to spring things on you like that I shouldn't have said anything but it's out there now and I can understand if you're utterly disgusted by me and my actions but I had to say it" says Sirius, the anxiety and pain in his voice hurts my heart

"Sirius" I say calmly, he looks up at me with a distraught face "Sirius I love you too. I feel the same and I have done for a while now I just- I never thought anyone could love...well a werewolf so I never took my chances and so I decided that distancing myself was the best way to feel less pain but it only created more and I wish that things could be more simplistic but we can't be together because I.." but I'm cut off as sirius' lips lock with mine and we kiss deeply for a moment

"Remus, I don't care who or what you are. You are the man I've fallen in love with" says Sirius "we just have to keep this secret ok?" I say, he nods, his hands riding up my shirt slightly as he kisses me again.
