Chapter 39: Tables (Claire's POV)
I sat there on the couch, waiting anxiously for the text that Leo was supposed to send me when he gets here so that I can get out. I just want to go home now. Home as in Leo's house. I was sitting there when my phone dinged in my pocket. I shot up out of my seat and looked at it.
I'm inside, unlock your door.
I inserted the key and unlocked it. I opened the door but saw nobody. What the-
I gasped and slammed the door shut immediately when I saw Leo, Flynn, and Theo fighting with four or five other guys, all of them stumbling into this hallway. I heard a lot of crashing, a lot of thuds, a lot of grunts in pain. I finally opened the door and saw Flynn running over to my door. I opened and stood there in confusion. "What the hell is going on?"
"You didn't think we can come in here and get you out without getting our hands a little bloody did you?" he chuckled, "Come on, Princess, let's go!" He grabbed my hand and began running down the hall.
"You son of a bitch! You took her!" Leo yelled at Theo.
"My mom is a bitch. God damn it, Peter!" Theo yelled while shaking his hand after punching the guy from earlier who came to check my room. "Strong jaw," he nodded.
"You-"
"Guys! We're short on time here!" Flynn exclaimed, snapping them both out of it.
"Are you okay?" Leo walked over to me.
"I-" I stumbled back, tripping over one of Seth's men who had passed out. "Oh," I gasped.
"Are you okay, Claire? Look at me." He held my face in his hands, tilting my chin up.
"I-I'm okay, yeah no, I'm okay," I breathed out. He sighed in relief, his forehead resting against mine. I threw my arms around his neck and we stood like that for a second, Flynn and Theo staring at the ground awkwardly. "Um- guys," I stuttered.
We all looked forward, seeing about five or six more men. "Is there any other way out of this hallway?" Flynn asked.
"It's a one way ticket to hell," Theo answered.
"Just stand back, okay?"
"But you-"
"Stand back, Claire!" Leo yelled.
I huffed but retreated my steps and stood a little further away. There were fists and kicks flying everywhere. Leo, Flynn, and Theo were all bleeding, but a lot less than the men on the floor.
"Come on!" Theo yelled.
I ran over and Leo grabbed my hand, all of us sprinting down the hall. "You've got to be fucking kidding me," I mumbled, retreating and going back once again as a few more men came. "Did you bring any help?!" I called out to Leo.
"I did, they're not here yet!" he replied before knocking a guy out. "God damn that hurt," he winced, shaking his hand.
"Leo, duck!" And he did. This is just unbelievable.
"It's like you're in a movie, huh?" Flynn asked while coming and standing beside me.
"Yeah," I nodded absentmindedly. "What are you doing here? Go!" I pushed him back there. He whined before kneeing a guy's stomach. That's that then.
"Claire!" I looked past them and saw Aesha. "Come on!" she yelled, waving me over.
"You want me running through that?!" I screamed.
