Should this be the last thing I see?
Your turned back, your smiling agony
You are perfect, more perfect than beauty
But you are gone, silent like mystery
These silent noises I hear once more
As you walked along the mindless shore
You picked shells, everything that caught your eye
Even those broken shards you passed by
Picked those empty shards but you don't know why
But you fell into that shard in just one try
And these silent noises picked your trail
So you ran, even though your legs are frail

And I followed you everywhere
Into the fields, into the marshes, I don't care
I called on to your name
I held on to what I can tame
And you were equally gone
Disappeared through the ivy, equally done
And these silent noises I hear again
Forgive me, Great Heavens, make me forgiven
That I let your daughter slip from my grasp
That I failed to let her stay in my clasp
Ans these silent noises have instantly plagued
I swayed until my star started to fade

I should have just died, suffered in agony
I should have closed my eyes to the things I cannot see
I should have let mysterious things be
I should have deafened my ears to the love you gave me
These silent noises have once again started nagging
Urging to make me do something I cannot bring
They said to make you mine
To make that battle against time
They said that I would be fighting another
What they meant, we'll see for each other
And that's when they silenced
And everything seemed listless

I followed your meager steps
Until I ended up to where you have left
That lovely shard, the one left of my heart
You left it there to thrive or depart
I look to me right and you were there
Trying to silence these noises in the air
And I was here, standing as if wanting to call
But I suddenly can't, I can't even recall
What again is your name?
What can I call you once we end up the same?
And yet you stood there, your back to me
Raised your hands in silent inquiry

What is life to you now?
Now that you've made that silent vow?
You have raised your arms, holding
Something that looked like my heart fading
The shard—it was there just a moment ago
To my left, the one I saw lying in the dunes
The one I saw, the one in your hands I saw
What they really meant as a foe
You whispered your silent goodbye
You have sent your prayers though no one knows why
I tried to call to you but you are too far away
Believe me, I tried, but you started to sway

Time suddenly stopped its pace
Until I saw you bring that shard to your face
I screamed and cried yet again
As I saw you fall, your face ashen
The color of roses spread from you
As I felt my face slowly turn blue
Where in Hell has your soul rested?
What have you done to make your life detested?
I ran, then, prostrated myself
Cried to the Heavens to take me instead
I failed and failed because we've been apart
And she had killed herself with my already broken heart
And should this be the last thing I see?
The moment these silent noises finally let me be

Time suddenly stopped its paceUntil I saw you bring that shard to your faceI screamed and cried yet againAs I saw you fall, your face ashenThe color of roses spread from youAs I felt my face slowly turn blueWhere in Hell has your soul rested? What ...
