Chapter 16: Herrscher Of Quantum

Heels clicked down the hall. Flowing purplish-black hair. The girl straightens her lab coat. She fixes her glasses. Then she sits down at her desk.

"The Herrscher of Dread is St.Freya Academy. Kevin hid you so well."

The girl watched the Herrscher of Dread.

"I wonder do Kevin still love you. Then again I wonder do you still hate him."

The girl was checking the Herrscher surroundings.

"You have so many friends, but they won't protect you. Not even Kevin."

The girl looks at the screen closely.

"My My....You are in your true form."

The girl smirked.

"You made friends with the other Herrschers."

She began thinking of a plan to attack.

"I wonder since you are in your true form, how do you go out in public."

"Ava are you stalking him again?"

She turned to her colleague.

"We need to take him out."

"I know that but.."

"But anything. He needs to be dead. In order for our plan to work, he...needs....to....be....DEAD!"

Ava slammed her fist on the computer desk and left the lap.

"Ugh!" She grunted

She walked to her room.

"Why...just why?

She saw her greatsword. Ava picked up and held it. Thinking about the past.

Back at St.Freya Academy

Mars was in the weaponry. He looking at all the different weapons. He wasn't medically cleared to do missions again, but he felt they were going to clear him soon.

"Can I ask you something?"

The male Herrscher looked up and saw his maid.

"Sure Rita, what's up?"

Rita walked up to him and gestured to him to sit. They sat on a bench.

"The Herrscher of Quantum. How do you know them?"

"Kevin and me were tracking them. She was the first person we found."

"The quantum Herrscher is a girl. Anything else about her?"

"She uses a greatsword and she can trap you in the see of quanta."

"Do you know her name?"

The boy thought about it.

"Ava, If I remember correctly."

"Do the Academy know you are working both sides?"

"No."

"Good kept it that way."

The boy chuckled.

"Kevin hasn't appeared in from of Theresa, and Himeko. So I'm find."

Rita caressed the boy's cheek.

"I'm just glad you are safe."

The boy blushed a bit. Rita noticed his tail was wagging. She lightly chuckled.

"How are you like this?"

"What? Half human half wolf?"

RIta nodded.

"Well The half wolf part is from my father. He was a wolf, but he married my mother who was native to Yae village. So I mostly got is genes. Scarlet didn't get his genes at much. She does have wolf like strength but that's just about it."

Rita rubbed the boy's head.

"Does you sister have fox ears then?"

"She does. But she septs them hidden. I'm the only who embraces their "true" form."

Rita smiled when the boy put air quotes around true.

"So you are part wolf and fox?"

"Yup."

Rita reached in her pocket.

"I brought you a cookie."

"Gimmie!"

Rita pulled the cookie back.

"No No. You have to do a trick."

"Really?"

Rita nodded her head giggling.

"Fine. What's do you want me to do?"

"Give me a kiss."

The boy was shock at her request.

"That's it?"

"Yup."

Mars leaned in and kissed Rita's cheek.

"Good boy." She gave the boy the cookie

He ate the cookie happily.

"Why are you in the weaponry anyway?"

"I was looking at the weapons tryin to get an idea to upgrade my weapons."

"Don't you have to go see the doctor soon?"

"When you say doctor, then you mean Fu Hua. She told me to meet her here."

Rita chuckled.

"I didn't know Fu Hua was your personal doctor."

The boy just said sigh.

"She just decided to be my doctor."

"That's why I'm here."

Fu Hua appeared, walking in the weaponry.

"We are going to spare to see if you are completely healed."

Fu Hua took her fighting stance.

"Um...but?"

Fu Hua charged at the boy, but he vanished. Fu Hua looked around for the boy.

"Where are you?" She asked

Rita giggled.

"I think he learned a new trick."

Fu Hua saw Rita pointing behind her. She was stunned at she saw the boy and Kevin.

Fu Hua changed, and kicked both of them. The illusion disappeared.

More illusions appeared, and they were locked on the Fu Hua.

"You been studying."

"I have!"

Mars and the illusions attack Fu Hua. Rita braced herself from the impact.

The dust cleared. The boy was on top of the Fu Hua.

"You are completely heal, but I'm going checking up on you."

"Right."

The boy jumped off Fu Hua.

"We are happy for you!"

The boy saw his friends holding balloons and cake. Then his sister came in.

The boy ran to his sister.

"I'm glad you are alright sis."

"I'm glad you are too."

The others joined in the hug.

"It's been a long time. Herrscher of Dread."

The hug broke. Mars turned around.

"Ava."
