Dustin's pov

"Psst." I whispered to Lucas.

"Yeah?" Lucas whispered back.

"I need to talk to you about something." I said.

"Okay, shoot." Lucas said.

"So, I like-" I started, but was cut off by Lucas.

"Y/n? Yeah, I know. And I think everyone knows. You're lucky she's so oblivious." Lucas said.

"Wait, what?!" I whisper shouted at him.

"Come on man, you make it so obvious." Lucas said.

"Well, I like her a lot. Everything about her is just so overwhelming..." I said, getting lost in thought.

Lucas snapped his fingers in my face, snapping me out of my never ending daydream.

"If you like her, you should just tell her.
Girls may be confusing, but I think she likes you, man." Lucas said.

I sighed and nodded.

"Well goodnight." I said.

"Night." Lucas replied.

The next morning.
y/n's pov

We walked our bikes to- well, I don't exactly know where we were going, we just kept following El.

We walked until we reached a house.

Will's house.

"Here." El said.

"Yeah, this is where Will lives." Mike said.

"Hiding." El insisted.

"Wait, no, this is where he lives." Mike explained.

"Yeah, he's missing from here. Do you- do you understand?" I asked El, dropping my bike on the ground.

"Um, why are we here?" Lucas asked with a hint of annoyance.

"I swear, if we walked all the way out here for nothing-" Dustin started.

"That's exactly what we did!" Lucas said, cutting him off.

"Why did you bring us here?" Mike asked El calmly.

"This was such a waste of time! We should have just done what we were gonna do in the first place." Lucas said.

"We are not calling the cops!" Mike yelled.

"Why not?! She'd be out of our-" Lucas started to say, but he was cut off by the sound of sirens.

"Guys, look!" Dustin pointed to the road.

We all turned to face the sound of sirens, that was now growing in the distance.

"Will." Mike said quietly.

"Bikes!" I yelled at the boys.

We all raced over to where we had dropped our bikes, and got on them, El on Mike's.

We pedalled towards the sirens until we reached the quarry, where there was already a bunch of fire trucks, police cars, and ambulances parked.

The five of us ducked behind a fire truck that was close to the water, so we could see better.

"What are they doing...?" I asked no one in particular.

"I don't-oh my god." Dustin muttered.

A couple fire men were knee deep in the water, pulling something out.

What do you think? I think you're an idiot. (Dustin Henderson x Reader)Where stories live. Discover now
