Marcus's POV

I was in my father's office. He wanted to talk to me before the meeting. I was leaning against the armchair, folding my arms over my chest.

"It gets more serious." My father commented, rubbing his forehead. "The targets are not just Alissa and my grandson as well as you. Who wants to harm all of you?" My father asked, preoccupied.

"I don't know, but I don't worry about myself but Alissa and my son." I confessed and breathed deeply.

"Maybe you, but I worry about all of you. I will talk to the Minister for Defence." My father stated.

"Yes, it will be good." I commented.

"Ok, let's go to the meeting." My father suggested as he stood up.

"I am coming, but before I need to call Alissa." I informed.

He nodded and left the office, leaving me alone.

I grabbed my phone and called Alissa, but her phone was turned off. Then I called the palace. The maid picked up the phone and informed me that Alissa left two hours ago. Where did she go? I was worried about her. Her due date was getting closer. She hadn't been leaving the palace as much as possible, because she got tired quickly. Moreover, she always told me when she was going to go somewhere, or we went together. But yesterday, she hadn't informed me that she planned to leave. So I called her bodyguard.

"Hello, Your Highness." Her bodyguard greeted me as soon as he picked up his phone.

"Hello. Could you give the phone to Alissa? I want to talk to her." I stated.

"Your Highness, but..." He mumbled, confused. "Her Highness told me she was going to meet up with you. So I brought her to the hotel. It had been more than two hours." He informed.

"What?!" I snapped.

My heart started pounding. A tight knot formed in my throat.

Please. Please. Don't let it be what I think.

The bodyguard informed me about what Alissa had told him.

"Shit! It is a trap. Go beside her! Quickly!" I demanded as I grabbed my jacket and rushed out.

"Yes, Your Highness." He said and hung up.

Damn it! Damn it! Damn it!

"What happened, Marcus?" My father asked, worried as he saw me rushing towards the elevator.

"Alissa! She is in danger." I informed, terrified.

His eyes widened in shock.

"I...Ok, let's go." He said, and we rushed towards the elevator after he had ordered to his bodyguard to inform the Minister and bodyguards.

Alissa's POV

When I opened my eyes, I was laying on the bed in the dark room. I rubbed my temple while trying to remember what had happened.

Shit!

I placed my hand on my stomach and got up carefully. I approached the door and started hitting it.

"Open the door!" I shouted, hitting the door as my eyes welled up.

As no one came, I stopped hitting the door and leaned against the door, crying.

Marcus. Please, find us. I pleaded with my inner voice and stroked my belly.

I looked around trying to find something that would help me to escape from here, but there was a bed and little window, nothing more. I even couldn't reach for the window to look out of it.

Damn it! It is your fault, Alissa. You should guess that it wasn't Marcus. He never sent me red roses. He always gave me blue roses.

I wiped my tears off my cheeks and went to sit down on the bed.

A few hours later, I heard the voices coming from the door. My heart started beating faster. I placed my hand on my stomach protectively. I was frightened.

The door opened and two men walked in. A woman walked in, following them. She seemed familiar.

Where did I see her?

My eyes widened in shock as I remembered who was her.

Stella. What is going on?!

"Stella..." I murmured, looking at her in confusion.

"Oh, you know me." She commented sarcastically and gave me an insolent look.

"What do you want from me?" I snapped, still resting my hand on my stomach.

"Did you really think that I would let you be happy?!" She commented mockingly and burst out laughing.

"I didn't do anything to you." I stated.

"Really?!" She mocked and approached me.

Suddenly, she gripped my hair and pulled it tightly. I screamed in pain.

"If you didn't seduce Marcus and make him marry you, now I would be pregnant with his baby." She snapped, full of rage in her eyes. "But unfortunately, children pay a price for their parents' mistakes." She commented, grinning.

My eyes widened in panic. I pressed my hand on my stomach protectively. My heart was pounding.

"You will stay here till you give birth to your bastard. Then I will take him without even letting you see him once. You will not see him again or know where he is." She threatened. "Let's see what your husband will do when he can not find his baby. Poor Marcus!" She pretended to be sad. Then she gave me a mocking laugh.

"No! No! Please. My baby is innocent. He didn't do anything to you." I begged, crying. "Please, let me go. We didn't do anything to you. Marcus and I fell in love nothing more. We didn't try to hurt you." I explained, sobbing.

She gave me a mocking smirk. Then she turned towards the tall man.

"Be careful. Don't let this bitch fool you. She is good at manipulation." She gave me a sarcastic look and left.

"No! Stella, let me go!" I shouted, crying and wanted to go, but the men held my arms and pushed me to the bed. Then they left, closing the door behind them.

"Don't be scared, my boy. I will not let her take you." I murmured, caressing my stomach while tears were running down my cheeks non-stop.

"And your father will find us. He will never leave us in danger." I commented, caressing my belly.

Marcus, please. Find us quickly. Please.
