Past

I wasn't sure if my mind was paying more attention to Cross's words or the way his body moved. This was my second drawing of him. If I didn't stop soon, it would seems I was a stalker stalking his muse.

Oh! When was the last time I got laid?

Seems it was time to call Cassy or Dermot, depending on who was free after my practice tonight. If the kick is high, then I might even seek Jan to beat my ass.

Suddenly there was a tap on my elbow and soon a chit followed. It was from Claire, the girl sitting next to me. Why would she give me a chit? Curious, I opened to read and I had to give it to her. She had guts.

Are you free tonight?
I want to get to know you.

Wow! This never happened before. Apparently few smiles here and there is making me approachable. Not want to give her any further mixed signals I wrote my reply. I might seem nice but wasn't so. What I need no one can give me. Passing back the chit I didn't bother witnessing her reaction. The chit simply stated, No. Thanks. I am already seeing someone.

Moment the bell rang she patted my back, gave me a thumbs up and walked away. This was strange. I expected animosity. This was quite unexpected.

The student in front of me tapped the table and pointed towards Cross who was intently looking back at me. Picking up my bags and other stuff I made my way towards him and signed, "Is there something on my face?"

He didn't stop staring but nodded and replied, "Your cheeks are smudged with charcoal residue."

With a light chuckle I rubbed it out, "Gone?"

"Yeah." He was still standing and staring at me. It was when a student approached him did I bow and leave.

Strange.

As I got out my phone pinged and it was a message from Max ~ Kid, I am not coming to Cage today.~

Having promised Sergei, I still needed to be there, but not before stopping by Azora's class to have lunch with her as per our plan.
Some of Azora's friends had gathered around her and were talking. She was loved and my heart knew that she had places to go. Azora will become the best in whichever field she chooses to put her mind and soul into. There were few students who glanced at my direction as they walked out while I patiently waited for her.

When Azora saw me waiting outside her class, she made her way towards me while her friends were still chatting. They were wary off me but that wasn't my concern.

"Were you waiting for long?" She signed and I shook my head. Her friend said something and she turned back to me, "Akira, is it alright if these guys join us for lunch? We have an assignment due today."

Glancing at her gang I signed back, "It is absolutely alright if you want to rain check. You have more important matters to handle. I'll just stop by and grab something to eat from the cafeteria. Don't worry about me."

"Nope. That won't do. I'll ask them to wait for while." She was about to convey the same to them but I stopped her, "Don't. It's fine. Let them join us." I didn't want their friendship to be affected because of me. Atleast between the two of us, one should have friends their age.

They were walking in front of me while I was seriously itching for a cigarette. It was the act of Azora pulling my hand towards the lunch line did I realise we were still in school and could not smoke even if I wanted to. After pointing out on food that I wished to have, we found a table that could accommodate eight people. Next to me was my sister and on the other side some guy whose name I didn't bother knowing.
