19.Mistake

Rohit and Virat were sitting and watching a movie. Suddenly Rohit heard grumbling sound from his side where Virat was sitting. He ignored it that may be it is from movie. But yet again after 5 mins he heard it.

Rohit - "Vi, is it your stomach making sounds?"
He asked curiously.

Virat - "No what are u talking about"
He said holding his stomach by one hand.

Rohit - "Are u hungry ? And dont u lie to me now otherwise I will not talk to you"
He said sternly.

Virat - "Ha bahot bhuk lagi hai"
He said sheepishly.

Rohit - "Toh bolna chahiye na Vi .. are u a guest here ? Its ur house .. how many times I have to tell you and then it will fit into ur chotu sa brain"
He said smacking his head lightly.

Virat - "Sorry na"
He said rubbing his head as if it was hurting so much.

Rohit - "Let me check .. what all is there is kitchen ? nahi toh wait I will order something."
He got up and called the nearest restaurant.

Rohit - "Restaurant se bahot time lagega .. lets make something at home ony.. dinner we can order afterwards"
He said and made his way to kitchen.

Virat went with him and sat on the kitchen counter.
Virat - "U know how to make food ?"

Rohit - "Jyada nahi but basics like sandwhich, dal chawal .. aise kuch"
He said taking out ingredients from the fridge.

Virat - "Mujhe toh kuch bhi nhi aata Ro .. how will I help you now?"
He asked wanting to help him in preparation.

Rohit - "Vi tu beth aaram se mai karta hu"
He said.

Virat - "Meko bhi help karna hai Ro please na teach me how to do it"
He said whining.

Rohit - "You can be really stubborn sometimes u know that?"
He said listening to his whining.

Virat just pouted and grinned at that as Rohit handed him tomato to cut.

Rohit - "See .. aise cut karna hai. Keep it like this on the chopping board and then slice it"
He said showing him how it is done.

Virat tried to do it but it was really difficult for him to do it but he was persistent to learn that.

Rohit's phone rang so he went to take it.

Rohit - "Hello Ma, u reached?"

Rohit's Mom - "Yes beta I reached. Is Virat okay ? Make sure he gets comfortable okay."

Rohit - "Yes Ma, u take care of urself."

Rohit hung up and went in the kitchen only to find it empty. He found Virat sitting in the hall watching the movie.

He saw the tomatoes were cut in a weird shape but he made the sandwhich using that for both of them along with some juice and took it into the hall.

Rohit - "Yeh le, waise nice try on the tomatoes for the first time"
He said forwarding the plate to him.

Virat was just looking at the plate wanting to eat that but he didnt. Rohit saw him looking at the plate.

Rohit - "Kya hua tujhe, kha na abhi toh u were so hungry"
He asked seeing him staring at the plate.

Virat still didnt say anything. Rohit saw his posture he was sitting with his hands folded on his chest and trying to hide something he felt.

Rohit - "Vi kya hua?"
He asked softly.

Virat - "Pehle u promise u are not gonna scold me .."
He said nervously.

Rohit - "Ha Vi promise okay .. what happened tell me?"
He asked again worried about him now.

Virat opened his locked arms and showed him his finger which was wrapped in a handkerchief.

Rohit - "What did u do?"
he asked keeping his plate aside and took a look at his finger.

Rohit removed the handkerchief and saw there was a cut on it. He rushed to bring first aid.

Rohit - "kaise hua yeh?"
He asked bandaging it.

Virat - "jal raha hai Ro"
he said as Rohit applied Dettol to it.

Rohit - "Thoda jalega hi .. 2 mins mai ho jayega."
He said and started applying more softly.

Once done Rohit turned towards Virat and asked again - "Did u cut ur finger while slicing tomatoes?"
To which Virat nodded meekly.

Rohit - "When will u take care of urself Vi?"
He asked sternly.

Virat - "u promised that u will not scold me"
He said making faces.

Rohit - "Ha harkate aise karo and phir promise lelo .. very good"
He said sarcastically.

Virat just pouted at that. Rohit saw his sandwhich untouched. He took the plate and forwarded it to him.

Rohit- "Open ur mouth now .. tujhe na aadat ho jayegi mere hath se khane ki ."
He said making him eat.

Virat - "ha toh acha hai na"
He said happily eating from his hand.

Rohit - "Aur jab mai nhi raha tere paas toh?"
He said casually.

Virat - "Why would u say that ? Why ?"
He said not having any bite further.

Rohit - "I am just saying"

Virat - "Why did u have to say it ? I am not gonna talk to you"
He said and left from there angrily.

Rohit cursed himself for saying that. But he didnt know that Virat will get so angry on that.
