Strange and Wong decided not to point out that he wasn't killed. His soul was burned. Turned to ash. The body would be perfectly fine, the rest of him, his soul, was gone. More than likely he wouldn't even go to any afterlife. Simply because, his soul didn't exist anymore to go to a afterlife.
