Paragraphing

Paragraphs aren't as complicated as people think. Yet so many new writers fuck it up. Ezn mentioned that these writers may not know what the point of a paragraph is. Readability.

I actually can confirm this, Ezn! Because I had no idea about this when I started.
Even though it is so simple. But I'm an idiot, so there's that.

Basically: One idea per paragraph. One idea is covered per paragraph. This can result on a paragraph only one sentence long, or one big chungus paragraph.

But due to Wattpad's users, I would recommend trying to split the big ones. Maybe with indentations, but I'm not sure how well that helps the readability.

Anyway. Something Ezn didn't mention (yet), was that one paragraph should only contain one character speaking. And that a new speaker starts a new paragraph, but Ezn did mention that. Under a different point.

Now, to create paragraphs, you have two options. Indentations and white spacing.

White spacing is what I do, literally just space between paragraphs.
But indents have no space. They start on a new line, but not at the beginning, they start a bit into the line.

There are some users who do both... it kinda sucks, in my opinion. It feels like too much.

Indentations are used in traditional paragraphing, while white spacing is done on websites. Partly because some sites ignore or don't recognise the indents, which makes everything into one hard-to-read paragraph.
