He swallowed, looking down as I quickly wiped my tears, trying to compose myself.

"You're going to remember" I spoke slowly.

His eyes moved my own.

"I know so."

Maybe a little hope would go a long way.

We ended up heading back to his room, where he noticed my limp.

"What's the limp about?" He asked.

"My hip was dislocated in the accident" I explained, seeing him slowly nod.

I helped him into bed, earning a quick thank you.

"What's the bandages for?" He asked, nodding to my leg.

"Road rash" I spoke

"How'd you get road rash?" He questioned.

"I was ejected"

I noticed a change in facial expression.

"Buckle up" he spoke

He suddenly started crying

"Oh my god" he cried, grabbing his head.

"We were messing around- I kept telling you to buckle up, you were complaining about me making you go to school" he cried out as I sat there- astonished.

"I stopped at the red light, it turned green and I went and as I turned my head I saw a big truck coming- I couldn't even warn you" he cried out, never looking away from me.

"What else?" I spoke.

"I-I woke up here" he spoke.

"Oh my god" he grabbed his head.

"I remember" he cried out.

"Everything?" I question.

"I-I think" he spoke, smiling widely.

"What's my full name?" I asked, watching his smile start slowly fading.

"Holly" he spoke quietly- almost hesitantly.

I let my shoulders drop, making him know he was wrong.

"At least I remember what happened-" "what happened isn't important to me" I spoke, making him sigh.

"I don't know what you want-" "What's my moms full name?" I asked.

"Jessica Marie Johnson" he spoke without missing a beat

"Her maiden name was Gomez- her dad hated me" he laughed lightly.

His smile dropped as he looked at me.

Why did he remember my mom, but not me?

"I don't understand" he mumbled.

"Are you sure that you weren't just a cousin or a sister maybe, how can I remember so much about my wife and nothing about my daughter?" He questioned, making me laugh lightly.

"I think I'm gonna go ahead and go to bed."
