Zuri's POV

I was in the living room, tired as hell as I laid on the couch, waiting for Azzy to come give me a massage. I lift my head a little to look up the stairs. Why the hell is she keeping long in coming?  I mentally ask myself as I groaned, my whole body was aching me.

These past days haven't been easy with me shuffling between home and the hospital as I take extremely good care of Lui, making sure he gets better earlier than the date we are expecting for him to get discharged from the hospital and come back home to live his life.

It will take a while for it to get back to normal given the state he is in. He's fine alright but he mostly complains of slight numbness at the left side of his body which we attribute to the mini stroke he suffered after the surgery. The doctor said it was nothing to worry about and that he will be okay.

And for two days now, Lui hasn't complained of the numbness anymore so I take it as, it is gone like the doctor said but we are all working and hoping he doesn't suffer a major stroke afterwards but fully recovers and goes back to being the Lui I have grown to love with every fiber in me and literally worship.

Though he is fine and all, it hasn't been a bed of roses. I wake up everyday with the fear of the unknown of something happening to him again since I haven't done what those people asked me to. I know I consented to it but trust me, I don't have the heart to do it.

But with Mrs Gianni attitude towards me, I wouldn't be surprised if I quit going to the hospital. Just this evening after I left Lui and was coming back home, I mean at the reception, she intercepted me with cops following her. She told them I was the one she was getting a restraining order against and that I was a threat to his son as I was responsible for what happened to him.

It took the intervention of some nurses before the cops allowed me leave without spending a night at the police station as a result of all the false accusations she had heaped on me.

I sighed heavily, I just hope things won't escalate to the point where I would be sent to jail, she keeps pushing me further and further and with the police involved now, I only hope it doesn't.

"Zuri!"

"What?" I snapped at Wendy as I rolled my eyes. That girl almost gave me a hyper, even mama sent a scowl in her direction. I don't get why she had to yell out my name as if I were ten blocks away from her. "What's with the noise? Cut it out, my head is banging okay."

"Sorry, did you zone out? Your phone keeps ringing and you aren't picking it up, so." She said, shrugging her shoulders and slumped back on the couch.

I blew a puff of air from my mouth, she was right. I had zoned out and did hear my phone ringing, all became of Mrs Gianni!

"Hey Fia." I spoke into my phone after picking up when it ringed again.

"Zuri.." her voice sounded strained when she called my name, it made me jerk up in alarm because it was as if she has been crying. Why would she cry if Lui was okay and when I left her almost an hour ago to come home, she was on a bubbly mood and was even having dinner with Jay at the hospital cafeteria.

"Fia, what is wrong! Why are you not saying anything?"

"He.." She stopped and sniffed, "he..Lui—"

"Lui? What is wrong with him?"

"He..is...coma!"

"Tell me you're kidding, tell me you are!" I refused to believe he was in coma. It hasn't been more than two hours since I last saw him and he has suddenly fallen into coma when he was perfectly fine when I was coming back home?
