The Garret Hart trilogy is a fictitious series centering around a Green Beret operative known as Garret Hart. The time setting takes place during the Vietnam war from 1967 to the war's end in the early seventies.
But what is interesting is that the reader will come to see Hart at the end of the last novel in the trilogy that he actually becomes one of the creators of The Shroud in the Avery Carter novels. Garret Hart always considered himself the Apex predator in his squads and missions, so he decides to take that name for himself.
Garret Hart is the Apex.
