Heiress 62: Unexpected

Jess' POV

It's been months since we last saw Lavalee and tomorrow is June 1rst meaning the first day of our college classes.

"Tomorrow's our first day in our new schools." Chelsea said
I'm currently in a video call with Chelsea and Irene.
"Yeah. I had double checked my things earlier." I said and placed my phone on the side of the sink
I removed my mask and applied my skin cleanser.
"My things are ready since last week. Panong hindi e halos araw-arawin ni Mama ang pagpapacheck sakin." I chuckled when I heard Irene's answer
"Dad and Mom checked on me earlier, that's why I double checked my things." I said and washed my face.
I took a clean towel after washing my face and gently dried the droplets on my face.
"You two should get used to checking and fixing your things without anyone reminding you." Chelsea said
"Don't worry, Chelsea. Masasanay rin kami." I heard Irene replied
I took my phone again and went out of the bathroom.

"Sanay is the correct word for it. It's been months, Irene, of course we had already adjusted." I said and placed my phone on the vanity table and sat in front of it.
I applied my body moisturizer while talking to Chelsea and Irene.
Chelsea's just reminding us about how we should avoid getting in trouble. She said it would be hard to cover our real our identities and it would be dangerous if we risk to reveal our positions in the underground.

"Don't worry, Chelsea. Alam naman na namin ang gagawin." Irene said as I place my skin moisturizer bottle on the vanity table.
I took my phone and walked towards by bed. Looking at the screen, I suddenly felt something as we are talking, I leaned on my bed post and sighed.

"What's the matter?" Chelsea asked me and I shook my head
"Am I the only one feeling like this?" I asked them out of the blue and flopped down my bed
"Feeling like what?" Irene asked
"I don't know. It's just..." I don't know how to explain it
"Weird?" Chelsea asked and I nodded
"Yeah, you know our conversation kind of sound weird for me." I said
"Well that's not surprising, actually, I feel it too." Chelsea said and chuckled
"For eight years sanay tayong laging magkakasama tapos ngayon we're suddenly studying in different schools at halos ilang kilometro pa ang agwat." Irene said
"Yeah, maybe few months isn't enough to adjust with that fact." I said
"Eight years of being around each other's presence and suddenly moving away is not easy to adjust to anyway. Kahit umuuwi tayo pag vacation and holiday it's still different." Chelsea agreed to our sentiment.

"I wonder how Lavalee's doing." I said and Irene chuckled
"Baka tinatawanan na tayo nun kasi nag-aalala tayo sa wala." Irene retorted
"I bet she's making everything fine, just like she always do." Chelsea said
"She undergone the training camp, right?" I asked
"Of course, asa ka namang may makakapigil sa kanya na sumali." Irene said
"Right. As if the issue with her relationship with Jace would stop her." I agreed
"But you know, it's kind of suspicious. Why would Jace followed Lavalee and first of all, why would Lavalee leave Mnemosyne with Jace?" Chelsea brought up
"Now that you've mentioned it, it does seem suspicious." I agreed
"And Jace actually joined the training camp." Irene said
