Zuriel was marveled by the marvelous symphony of the choir singers, it was so enthralling that she could feel a renewing, peaceful and purifying presence piercing through her bone and marrow causing a flow of tears down her cheeks.

After the sermon and offering the church service was over and while other worshippers all troop out a few waited behind to greet each other.

Aunt Doreen and uncle Robert were among the elders who stayed behind to exchange greetings with friends and while they did Zuriel and Louis trailed behind bowing in greetings and smiling courtly at the elders.

Zuriel barely understood what they were saying because the spoke mostly in French and so were the hymns, songs and sermon, but with the little that she was able to grab still felt at peace.
"Mom, we are not kids, we can't continue to follow you around, bowing and smiling at your old friends" Louis complained.

"You can never outgrow being my kid" aunt Doreen announced as she strained herself to kiss him on the cheek like a child in an attempt to tease him before he could realise it.

"Mom stop it" Louis said under gritted teeth only to the hearing of his mother while looking around to see who has seen what just happened.

Zuriel who had been observing the two couldn't help but giggle, but quickly covered her lips when Louis caught her in the act.

"You can leave first, if you want to" His mother said.

"I will go with Zuriel to sister's house" Louis said and his mother waved her hand in response as she proceeded to a group of elderly women.

Louis grab her hand and gently tug her towards the exit but because he was in a hurry they almost collide with a group of girls who were making their way into the church.

Like a gentleman he quickly step aside for them to move in first.

"Bonjour Louis" they chorused.

"Bonjour" he responded with the wave of his hand.

While the others quickly walked away one still lingered around. Hers eyes caught their laced hands and a spank of jealousy pierced through her heart.

"Hi Zuriel" Janna said and Zuriel responded with a smile.
To Louis she said.

"Any progress with your mother?"

"No" he responded sharply blowing air and she nodded.
"Look Janna we got to leave, see you tomorrow"

"Okay" she said flatly waving at their backs as they exit the church auditorium.

Zuriel was grateful that today they were using one of the cars instead of Louis bony bike.

They drove into a big bungalow with a beautiful lodge filled with green ornamental plants trimmed into different figures of differs shape and size and the scent was good and heavenly.

"Come on" Louis said as he held the door open for Zuriel to exit.
She smiled and stepped out and he shut it afterwards.

They walked hand in hand into the beautiful house when a helper held the door open for them. The interior was perfect to the sight nothing classic just beautiful and cozy, even the air was warm and smells nice.
The smell of freshly baked snacks filled the air and Zuriel couldn't help but sniff secretly.

"Bonne journee monsieur" she greeted with a bow.

"Bonjour Cecile, ou est ma soeur?" Louis demanded.

"Cuisine" she responded pointing towards a door behind her.

Louis nodded giving her his signature smile as he bounced towards the kitchen after beckoning to Zuriel to follow suite.

"Big sis" Louis called immediately he entered the kitchen and quickly ran to give his sister a hug.
