I felt someone's hand gently swoop into mine. "Hello, gorgeous." Luis smiled down at me.

I looked up at him and smiled back. "Hi."

"How are you?" He asked.

"Amazing." I giggled lightly. "How are you?"

"The best I've ever been." He kept smiling.

"That's good." I nodded.

"Mhm." He hummed while nodding. "Izzy is very happy by the way."

I laughed. "Really?"

He nodded. "Yup."

"She's a matchmaker, I'm telling you." I chuckled softly.

"Totally." Luis nodded.

"Well, I'll be on the bench, dying on the inside." I sighed.

"You'll be able to play soon." He reassured. "I'm sure of it."

"Whatever." I shrugged. "See you out there, you lucky duck..."

He smirked. "Was that supposed to be a pun?"

"No..." I realized what I said. "Oh, it wasn't but I guess it could be."

He laughed. "You're cute."

I smiled and he placed a kiss on my cheek before walking into the locker room. My heart melted inside and I bit my lower lip to stop my squeals of happiness escape my mouth. I walked over to the bench and saw Charlie already sitting there.

"Hey, Charlie." I plopped next to him.

"Hey." He kept his focus on his hockey stick.

"Whatcha doin?" I asked.

"Putting new grippy tape on my stick." He explained. "You?"

I sighed. "The usual. Dying slowly inside because I can't play."

He chuckled lightly. "You're still annoyed about that, huh?"

"Of course." I nodded. "I can't do the one thing I love."

"Hm." He hummed. "I understand."

"How so?"

"Adam hurt his hand a while back similar to yours, but it was only sprained. I had to sit on the bench so he could play because he needed to. Some college scouts were there to watch him play." Charlie explained.

"Oh, that was nice of you." I nodded.

"Thanks." He shrugged. "Oh, I heard about you and Luis."

"You did?" I started to get nervous for some reason.

"Yeah, everyone knows." He nodded.

"Oh, yeah...." I nodded slowly.

"He really likes you and, no, I'm not just saying that because you guys are dating. I'm serious."

"He does?" I questioned.

"Duh." He chuckled. "Do you see the way he looks at you?"

"Well, yeah, but what if it's all just an act?"

"Why would you say that?" He faced his body towards me.

"Because, we had been enemies for years, and right as I joined the team, he likes me. Kinda suspicious, don't you think?" I sighed.

Charlie looked at me like I was dumb. "You're kidding, right?"

I shook my head slowly. "No..."

He scoffed. "Lia! You have to be kidding me!"

I was so confused. "I'm not!"

"It's not an act!" He chuckled. "I promise it's all real! No one could act like that."

"Well, yes, someone could." I defended.

"Lia." Charlie groaned. "Listen to me. I promise he does like you, I'm not joking."

"I know, but what if he's just gonna lead me on and break my heart later?"

Charlie shook his head. "That won't happen."

"Okay, well, if it does, I'm blaming it on you." I joked.

He shrugged. "Okay, but you know I'm right."

"Yeah, yeah, whatever." I laughed while waving a hand at him.

He chuckled and went back to whatever he was doing. A pair of arms wrapped around my neck lightly and I instantly smiled.

"I'm back." Luis kissed my head.

"Took you long enough." I mocked.

He chuckled and sat down next to me. One of his arms wrapped tightly around my waist as if he never wanted to let me go. I didn't mind it.

"Are you still dying inside?" He asked.

"Yes." I groaned while flopping my head on his shoulder. "I'm dead."

He chuckled while patting my head. "You're such a drama queen."

I lifted my head up and jokingly looked at him angrily. His eyes widened. "That was a joke, I promise."

I kept staring at him. "Babe, it was a joke, I swear." He whined.

A small smile painted my lips. "I know, I was just messing with you."

He sighed while shaking his head lightly. "I wanna be mad at you, but you're too cute to stay mad at."

I giggled and kissed him. "You should probably go practice."

He groaned. "No, I wanna stay here."

"But you gotta practice." I pushed him away lightly.

"It's fine." He pulled me closer to him again.

"Luis." My voice was stern. "Go practice, please?"

He shook his head. "Nope, I'm staying with you."

"I'm not going anywhere." I chuckled.

He shrugged. "I'm still not moving."

I then thought of the perfect way to get him to practice. "Go practice or I'm not sleeping over tonight."

"Damn it..." He mumbled. "Fine."

I pulled my lips closer to his ear and lowered my voice. "We can also go to our "secret spot" if you want."

His eyes filled with excitement and he nodded. "Yes, please."

"Then go practice, you hobo." I smacked his arm lightly.

He gasped. "I'm not a hobo."

"No shit, Sherlock. Now go." I waved him away.

"Okay, okay, okay," He sighed. "I'm going."

He placed a quick kiss on my lips before hopping onto the ice.
