Luis smacked an apple into my hand. "Eat that before you get out there."

I groaned. "I don't wanna."

He huffed. "Too bad."

I tried to hand it back to him but he pushed it back to me. "Please, Lia."

I sighed. "Fine..."

He sighed with relief and I took a smallish bite. "Done." I held it back out to him.

He stared at me. "You're joking."

"Nope." I shook my head. "Here."

"Amelia..." He huffed. "Stop messing around."

"I'm not."

"Then eat it all." His voice was stern.

I rolled my eyes angrily. "Fine..."

I took a bigger bite and Luis watched me closely. I swallowed it and stared back at him.

"Happy?"

He smiled. "Yes, thank you."

I smiled sarcastically and smacked the apple back into his hand. Before he could say anything, Bombay skated over to me.

"Amelia, you ready to try again?" He asked.

"Oh, yeah..." I mumbled quietly. "My hand should be better now."

"Okay, come on." He waved me out onto the ice.

I nervously picked up my hockey stick and Luis put a hand on my back. "You'll be fine."

I looked at him. "I know, I just don't want my hand to hurt because then Coach won't let me play."

He sighed. "Well...that may be true but-"

"Just...stop talking." I waved a hand at him.

"Good idea." He mumbled. "You'll still be fine."

"Thanks." I sighed softly.

I then hopped onto the ice and skated over to Bombay. "Okay, I'm ready."

"Good." He nodded. "First, just try to get the puck in the goal from here."

I looked over at the goal that was a few feet away. Okay, that's easy. I nodded.

"Okay, that should be easy."

He backed up and slid the puck over to me. I smacked it hard and luckily, it went into the goal. I smiled and heard Luis cheering for me.

"Whooo!" He cheered. "I told you you could do it!"

I chuckled. He's such an idiot.

"Good job, Peterson." Bombay clapped. "Does your hand hurt?"

I shook my head. "Nope. It feels fine."

"Perfect." He nodded. "You ready to play a game of hockey?"

I smiled while nodding. "Of course."

Luis smiled and lifted me off the ground. "I knew you could do it!"

I laughed while wrapping my arms around his neck. "Thank you, but it's not that big of a deal."

"Not that big of a deal?!" He scoffed. "You can play again!"

"I know, but we already knew that."
