I excitedly ran inside the hockey rink. "Coach!" I yelled.

His head spun to face me. "Hey!"

I stopped in front of him with a smile on my face. "I can play hockey again."

"Really?" He questioned.

"Yeah!" I held my hand up. "I got it out of the cast a few days ago."

"Wow..." He mumbled. "That was fast."

"What can I say?" I smirked. "I'm a fast healer."

He chuckled. "Well, if you can still play as well as before, I'll let you play the game coming up."

"Okay, thank you!" I nodded.

"No problem."

I excitedly ran into the locker room and started getting my gear on. I saw Connie standing in front of me.

"What are you doing?" She asked.

"What does it look like?"

"It looks like, you're putting your gear on. You can't play yet."

"Yes, I can!" I held my hand up. "My hand isn't broken anymore!"

She gasped. "Really?!"

I nodded frantically and she squealed happily. "Yay!"

Everyone looked at us odd but I ignored them. I finished getting my gear on and grabbed my hockey stick. Connie and I walked onto the ice and I looked around.

"Have you seen Luis anywhere?" I asked.

She shook her head. "No, I haven't."

I hummed in confusion but brushed it off. He probably overslept or something. We hopped onto the bench and Julie sat next to us.

"Guys!" She smiled.

"What?" Connie and I said at the same time.

Julie lowered her voice. "I think Adam likes me."

I gasped. "Really?!"

"Mhm!" She hummed while nodding.

"Why do you think he likes you?" Connie smiled.

"He always stares at me and I always see a small smile paint his lips when he does."

Connie and I both gasped. "That's exciting!" I squealed.

"Yeah, but don't tell him, please. I don't wanna jinx it." Julie sighed.

"We won't." Connie shook her head.

"Oh, he's coming. Don't embarrass me." Julie growled.

I sat up straight again and watched Adam sit next to me. "Hey, guys."

"Hi." Julie smiled.

I snickered but acted normal. "Hey."

"You guys excited for the game coming up?" He asked.

"Yeah." I nodded.

"Same." Connie agreed.

"Julie?" Adam questioned. "What about you?"

She was just staring at him with a small smile painted on her face. Connie nudged her and she snapped out of her gaze.

"What?" She questioned.

"Adam asked if you're excited for the game coming up?" I said.

"Oh, uh, yeah, o-only if he's excited." She nodded.

Oh, goodness.

"Yeah, I am." He nodded.

Julie laughed nervously and grabbed Connie's hand. She whispered something to her and Connie nodded.

"We'll be right back. We have something we gotta do quick."

"Oh, okay." Adam looked disappointed.

They skated away and I went back to what I was doing. I heard Adam sigh and he tapped my shoulder.

"Amelia?"

I looked up at him. "Yeah?"

"Can I ask you something?"

"Sure, what's up?" I turned my body to face his.

"I wanna ask Julie out, but I have no idea how." He sighed.

My jaw dropped slightly. "Seriously?"

"Yeah..." He nodded.

"That's great, man." I nudged his shoulder.

He smiled softly. "Thanks. I just need some help though. What should I do?"

"Just ask her. She's gonna say yes."

"Okay." He nodded. "But if she says no, I'm blaming it on you."

I laughed and rolled my eyes playfully. "Thanks, Cake Eater."

He chuckled and we heard footsteps pounding inside. "Sorry, I'm late, Coach!"

Luis? I looked up and saw him running over to Bombay. He looked tired and disheveled. I knew something was wrong with him. That's not the Luis I know.

"Where were you?" Bombay asked.

He swallowed nervously. "I-I had something personal going on."

"Okay." Bombay nodded. "Get your stuff on and get out there."

Luis nodded and quickly walked into the locker room.

"I'll be right back." I patted Adam's shoulder.

He nodded and I skated over to the locker room. I walked inside and saw Luis running his hands through his hair.

"Luis?" I questioned. "Are you okay?"

He spun to face me and caught his breath. "Yeah..."

"You don't look okay." I stepped towards him. "What's wrong?"

He looked around and wiped the sweat off of his forehead. "Nothing. I'm fine."

"Luis." My voice was stern. "I know you're lying."

"I don't wanna talk about it." He shook his head.

"Luis..." I mumbled. "You can tell me anything."

He clenched his jaw. "Then tell me why you haven't been eating."

My heartbeat sped up. "What are you talking about?"

"Izzy told me everything." He sighed.

I swallowed nervously. "I-I don't know what you're talking about."

He crossed his arms over his chest. "You know exactly what I'm talking about."

"I seriously don't." I lied. "I gotta go practice."

I tried to walk away but he grabbed my hand. "I'm not letting you leave until you tell me what's happening with you."

"Then tell me what's happening with you!" I defended.

"Nothing is happening with me!" He scoffed. "This is about you!"

"Luis, please!" I shrieked. "I promise I'm okay!"

"You don't look okay, Lia! You look sick!" He sighed.

I bit my lower lip and shook my head. "I'm fine."

He grunted and clenched his fists. "Stop lying to me. Let me help you, please."

"I don't need help." I shook my head. "I just need to focus on hockey."

Before he could say anything else, I walked out of the locker room. Shit. Damn it, Izzy.
