Smita POV

"What is it, Dad?" I asked.

"Naya shaadi ka rishta!" He exclaimed. (New marriage proposal)

"Dad, please. I'm not marrying anyone right now. Chhote, aaj ki date kya hai?" (What's today's date?) I asked Arnav.

"Feb 16, 2021, Di." He said.

"Dad, if I want to marry anyone I'll tell you by 1st March, due date. Okay?" I said.

"Par, Smita - " Dad started. (But, Smita - )

"Par var kuch nahi. Hamari beti arranged marriage nahi karegi." Mom came up. (No, buts. Our daughter will not force marry.)

"Thanks, Mom." I said.

Dad called up someone.

He handed me the phone, and now my entire family except Chhote and Ma are forcing me to marry.

"I won't." I said, and hung up.

"By the way, yeh discuss karne ke liye hum ghar ja rahe hai. Tamil Nadu. We're going on February 23rd." (We're going to discuss this, so we're going to our hometown, Tamil Nadu.) Dad said.

I groaned, and walked away.

A/N - Remember I'd written a message on my Conversations feed I had to go to my hometown due to this? : )

One week later.....

We were walking through the airport of Tamil Nadu. Thiruchirappalli International Airport.

We reached home, greeted by my Bua.

We went in, everyone from my family was there.

We freshened up, and had lunch, and started talking about my 'arranged marriage' issue, only Ma and Chhote by my side.

Suddenly, it went pitch dark, it was evening anyways.

I felt someone held my hand, and I had gasped. I know this touch, somewhere.

Suddenly, the lights came on, and by the time they did, someone put a blindfold on my eyes.

"Shreelakshmi Madhu." I heard someone, and I started breathing heavy. My heart raced.

"Do you know who I am?" He asked again.

"Dhruv Singhania." I smiled, and the blindfold was removed from my eyes by Chhote.

I hugged him.

"Hi, Dhruv. How are you? It's been so long!" He hugged me back.

"Is this really your girlfriend style?" He asked.

"Oh, seriously? We'd already kinda broken up, right?" I asked, a hint of sadness in my voice, but, I was still smiling.

"Never. Our hearts are meant to be one." He said.

Suddenly, he knelt down.

"I get it. You're gonna make me your official girlfriend again." I laughed.

Dhruv just nodded slightly, as if in refusal. I looked at him in confusion.

He pulled a ring out.

"Smita. Main tumhe kabhi chodke nahi jana chahta. Main tumhe hamesha ke liye apne paas rakhna chahta hoon." He said. ( I don't wanna ever leave you and go, now. I wanna keep you with me forever.)

I nodded.

"Will you marry me?" He asked.

Just like 11th grade, I pulled his tie, and kissed him.

"That's a yes!" Chhote exclaimed.

We broke apart soon.

We hugged everyone and took blessings.

I reached my Dad and Mom.

I hugged them tight.

"Thank You." I whispered.

"Ahem." I heard Chhote.

"You know, I was in their plan too." He said.

"Thank You, Chhote." I hugged him.

"Waise, Papa. Maine kaha tha na ki zindagi main shaadi karni hogi mujhe to March 1st tak kabhi bhi bataungi." I turned to Dad. (Anyways, Dad. I'd said that if ever I 'd want to marry I'll tell you anytime but only till 1st March.)

Dad nodded.

"The answer is no." I smiled.

"What?" Everyone said.

Dhruv was shocked too.

A/N - Hey guys! Sorry it's a little short today. But look what I've left you! Try to guess!
