Dhruv POV

I walked downstairs and stay Smita sitting with everyone.

I saw her and immediately got the idea to calm her down.

She saw me and turned her head away. Smooth.

I went up to her and bent down behind her.

I planted a small kiss on her neck, and she closed her eyes.

"Okay, fine. I forgive you." She giggled.

"Just as Chhote said - Dhruv knows exactly how to calm you down." Di smiled.

Dhruv opened my hand and peered into it.

"Dhruv, kya hua?" I asked. (Dhruv, what happened?)

"Maine aaj kahi padha tha ki dulhan apne hone wale pati  ka naam ka pehla akshar apne mehendi main lagvate hai. Wohi dundh raha hoon." He said. (I read somewhere today that the bride get's her to - be husband's name's initial written on hand by henna. Just trying to find it.)

"Hmm. Did you read something else about this?" I smiled.

"Nah." He looked up.

"Mehendi main pati ke naam ka akshar bahut ache se chupaya jata hai. Agar pati use phere se pehle dhund leta hain to to us jodi ko radha - krishn jodi ka mahatva diya jata hai." I said. (The husband's name's initial is very well hidden in the bride's henna. If the husband finds it before the seven nuptial rounds, then the pair is given the name of Radha - Krishn love.)

"I'll find it." He said.

"I doubt it. It's too hidden." I smirked.

A/N - Could you guys find the initial in my hand's picture I'd given you? My husband found it today though, it took him all day, and he finally found it just like at six in the evening : ) 💖

"I'll still find it." He said.

I loved the determination and love in his eyes and got lost in him.

"Di, Di!" Arnav was snapping fingers in front of my face.

"Huh? Chhote?" I asked.

"Where were you right now, Di? Mars?" He asked, bewildered.

"No, I mean nowhere." I said.

I clearly saw that Dhruv smirked at me.

"You know, you can admit, it's not bad to get lost in your husband." Samita Di said.

"High five, Di!" Dhruv got up, high - fiving her.

Everyone chuckled at me and Dhruv as I blushed, accepting Di's fact.

Evening came. We had dinner and went to sleep.

I went downstairs from my room, dressed in my maroon lehenga with golden patterns for the sangeet. Dhruv was still in the room, putting on his maroon sherwani.

I walked to the hall, where large curtains had been draped.

Everyone from both sides of the family were in a big group, gathered, discussing something.

Dhruv's Nani had come too.

I leaned in, but Anjali Di saw me.

"Smita!" She yelled out and everyone got alerted, and stopped chattering.

"T - Tum kab aayi?" She asked. (When did you come?)

"Just now....what were you whispering?" I asked.

"Nothing." Anjali Di smiled.

A/N - Btw guys, don't get confused. Ma and Dad is for my parents, and Mummy and Papa is for my parent in - laws.

"Okay. But what's behind that curtain?" I said, moving towards it.

Samita Di and Jiju got parked there before I could reach it.

"What is there? Just a normal curtain." They said.

They shooed me upstairs to my room like that.

I sat down heavily on the bed, and Dhruv looked at me, confused.

"Kya hua?" He asked. (What happened?)

"Tumhe pata bhi hai is ghar main kya chal raha hain?" I asked. (Do you even know what's going on in this house?)

"Hamari shaadi." He said in a duh - tone. (Our wedding.)

"Nahi! I'll conclude fast - Sab long hamare khilaf bahut badi sazish rach rahe hai. Di, Anjali Di, Ma, Dad, Mummy, Papa yaha tak ki Nani Ji bhi sabke saath mili hui hain." I said. (No - Everyone is planning some conspiracy against us. Di, Anjali Di, Ma, Dad, Mummy, Papa and even Nani Ji (Maternal grandma) is with them.)

"Kis cheez main?" Dhruv asked. (About what?)

"Sangeet ke bare main!" I said. (About the sangeet!)

Dhruv was surprised but then gave me a weird look.

"Tum iske bare main itni pareshan ho?" He sighed. (You're so worried about this?)

It was true. I always loved the weddings' sangeet function, so sometimes I maybe over reacted a little.

"Chalo, dekhte hain kya chal raha hai." I said, pulling him away. (C'mon, let's go see what's happening.)

When I went down, Chhote was the only one, sitting near the closed curtains.

"We want to go inside." I declared.

"No." Chhote smiled

"What?!" I asked.

"No."

"Chhote - I - " I started.

"Di. Wait." He clapped, and everything went dark.

I suddenly cling tight to Dhruv.

"What happened?" He asked.

"I got surprised. Sorry." I said.

"It's okay. You can still do that." He said.

Suddenly, the lights of the stage came on.

Jiju was standing there.

"Ladies and gentlemen, may I present my beautiful sister in - law, Smita, and her fiance, Dhruv!" He said.

Everyone clapped and came forward to congratulate us.

When it was all done, Me and Dhruv took our seats.

"So, guys, aaj hum in dono ki pyaar bhari kahani batane wale hai! Are you all ready?" Jiju said, followed by a giant round of applause. (Today we're gonna present their love - filled story.)

The curtains closed again, and I was already getting impatient. Well, you just know me.

Chhote and Samita Di appeared when the curtains opened again.

A tune started playing, and they acted it all in it, whatever happened till now, Di being me, and Chhote being Dhruv, and then they shared a dance.

Dhruv smirked at me.

"Well, they obviously missed our special moment - when I stole you." He whispered.

I playfully punched his chest, signalling him to be quiet.

All the people in our family had performed, and then Chhote and Di came up.

"Well, in dono main yeh sab kuch hua, par abhi tak, proper manner main woh nahi hua." Chhote said, smirking. (This was these two's life, but till now, that never happened in a proper manner.)
