Khushi POV

"I don't get it." Dhruv shook his head.

"Well, let's get to the living room and then I'll tell you all." I said.

We went into the living room, and called everyone there.

"Kya hua, Smita? Kuch hua hai kya?" Mummy asked. (What happened, Smita? Is something wrong?)

"Nahi, Mummy. I just want to say ki aap sab ne mujhe bahut pyar diya hai, which I'm grateful for. But, I'm here with a request." I smiled. (No, Mummy. You all have given me lots of love - )

"Bata bhi do, Khushi." Dhruv said. (Tell us already, Khushi.)

"Exactly. Khushi." I nodded at him.

Everyone gave me a confused look.

"Main chahti hoon ki ab aap sab mujhe Smita nahi bula kar Khushi bulaye." I continued. (I want that instead of calling me Smita, you all call me Khushi.)

A/N - This goes to my Wattpad readers too!

"Woh to thikh hai beta - lekin kyu?" Papa asked. (That's fine - but why?)

"Because I get all my courage and determination from that name. I'll tell this to my family too - that except for official purposes, my name is now Mrs. Khushi Madhu Dhruv Singhania." I smiled.

Dhruv smiled at kissed me on the forehead.

"Kyu nahi, Khushi Ji. Bahut acha naam hai yeh." The devil spoke. (Why not, Khushi. It's a very nice name.)

Me and Dhruv wrinkled our nose in disgust, fake smiling widely.

We soon went back to our room.

I sat on the bed, lost in thought.

"Khushi, tum Shyam ke baare main hi soch rahi ho na?" A voice spoke. (You're thinking about Shyam, aren't you?)

"Ha, Dhruv. I - what if something goes wrong today and our plan backfires?" I said. (Yes - )

Dhruv bent down to me and kissed me lightly.

When we broke apart, he cupped my cheeks.

"Khud par bharosa rakho. Sab thikh jayega." He said. (Believe in yourself. Everything will be fine.)

I smiled at him.

"There's another worry  constantly haunting me too." I admitted.

"What is it?"

"Dhruv - I'm pregnant. I know even Samita Di and Naina are, but I'm worried. Right now, due to this Covid pandemic, it's so dangerous to go to the hospital for weekly checkups. And, after that, the delivery too. I don't care about myself, but I don't want anything to happen to our child." I said, rubbing both of my hands together.

Dhruv looked at my hands. He knew very well that I always rub my hands together when I'm worried or nervous.

He took my hands, and placed both of our hands' over my flat stomach.

I looked at him in confusion.

"Agar tum abhi se itna pareshan hogi, to aage kya hoga? I'm telling you, Khushi, just believe in yourself. Nothing will go wrong." He said. (If you're so worried from now itself, what'll happen later?)

I pulled him into a hug and nodded.

"Aur yaha jo hai na, meri chhoti sherni, kuch nahi hoga use." He said, pointing at my stomach. (And I know nothing will happen to my little lioness in there)

"Acha. Abhi se chhoti sherni? Chhota sher hua to?" I chuckled. (Oh. Little lioness from now itself? What if it's a little lion?)

"Chhota sher ho ya chhoti sherni, mujhe pata hai ki meri sherni Khushi usko kuch nahi hone degi." He said. (May it be a little lioness or a little lion, I know my lioness Khushi will not let anything wrong happen to it.)

I couldn't hold myself and pulled him into a long kiss again.

We broke apart after a minute.

"What's up with all that kissing? Feeling lusty?" Dhruv smirked.

I gave him a knowing look, and his smirk got wider.

"Acha, tumhe lekin wait karna padega. Raat hone do." He winked. (Well, but you'd have to wait. Let the night start)

"That's fine, par koi aisa specific time hota hai kya tumhara?" I laughed. (But do have some specific time for that?)

"Nah. Koi specific time nahi hai, but we live in a joint family. Koi bhi aa sakta hai abhi. Tum kaho to let's live seperately?" He smirked again. (There's no specific time for me, but we live in a joint family. Anyone could come right now. Let's live separately if you say.)

"Nahi. I love it here. Mujhe alag nahi rehna." I said. (No, I love it here. I don't want to stay separately.)

There was a knock on the door, and Prakash spoke from behind.

"Dhruv bhaiya, Khushi bhabhi, shaam ki coffee lag gayi hai." (The evening's coffee has been set up)

"Hum aa rahe hai, Prakash. Thank you." Dhruv said. (We're coming, Prakash.)

"Chalo." I said. (Let's go)

"Ruko, Ruko." Dhruv said, going behind me. (Wait, wait.)

I felt him tying the dori of my saree.

I looked at him, and lightly hit his forehead.

"Kabhi nahi sudhroge tum. Hamesha dori khol dete ho, nahi?" (You'll never change. You always open my dori, don't you?)

We both laughed as we went out.
