The two of them spent hours talking about their adventures and whatnot until it was time for (Y/N) to return to the Butterfly estate. She promised Shinobu to help her with the patients in the afternoon. Both Giyuu and her felt happier and lighter after spending some time together, it helped ease their minds.

When she was leaving, she took the blue flower from her hair and handed it to the taller Demon Slayer. She promised to visit again before it wilted.

A few days have passed and she would spend at least an hour at Tomioka's residence almost every morning or evening. It didn't matter if they talked or just sat on the engawa, enjoying their tea, it was just nice being around each other. At least that was how she felt. Shinobu told her that she looked much happier these days. Speaking of the Insect Pillar, (Y/N) has been helping out at her estate a lot lately and the patients were miraculously getting better. While Kocho knew why that was, the others didn't since only the hashiras had been informed and the whole truth about her, other than actually being a woman and a doctor, was not to be spread recklessly.

Right now, the witch was sitting by Tanjiro's bed, changing his bandages. The boy would heal soon enough but she was afraid that nothing could help with getting his energy back after he so recklessly kept on using the Sun Breathing even after she told him not to. She and her medicine could only do so much, but even if the wounds healed, she doubted he would wake up soon. To be honest, she decided that this was the so called 'coma' she had read about and sadly realized that there was a chance he would never wake up. However, she would do everything in her power to stop that from happening.

(Y/N) sighed heavily. On the other bed in the room was Inosuke, also in a deep slumber. While Tanjiro exhausted himself and that was his reason for not waking up yet, the Hashibira boy had it even worse. While she was trying to put her body back together in Yoshiwara, he apparently fought the Upper Moon Six and got stabbed and poisoned as well. When the kakushi arrived, they were almost too late to stop the bleeding, not to mention the poison had spread all throughout his body. It was a miracle that he was still alive and she cursed at herself for not finding him before leaving the red light district with Uzui and his wives. He wouldn't be in this state if she did.

On the other hand, the blond boy called Zenitsu woke up the day after they returned and was already whining. They moved him to another room so he wouldn't disturb his comrades with his annoying nature.

"I guess it is about time I visit him, huh?" she said to herself.

Zenitsu hasn't yet been informed about her true identity and she felt like she owed him an explanation. She would be telling his friends anyway so why not start with him? She also wanted to start over with him since their first encounter wasn't the best one and they never really spoke much after that. (Y/N) got up and after one last look at Tanjiro and Inosuke, she left the room.

Zenitsu was laying in his bed, staring blankly at the cieling. No matter how much he tried not to, he kept on replaying the Yoshiwara events over and over again in his head. There were so many sounds he remembered from there, so many he never wanted to hear. Screams of women and men as they or their loved ones got slaughtered by the demons, the sound of his friends' flesh being slashed and pierced, rugged breaths of Tanjiro, crazy laughs of Daki, deathly gurgling of Inosuke... But there was one sound that terrified him beyond all, even more than his comrades being hurt.

He noticed it even tho they were in battle, the cracking of bones, snapping of muscles and a despaired voice of someone else who called for them, as this person got ripped into pieces. He didn't know who it was, only that this person became a swarm of tiny pieces in a matter of seconds. Never before has he heard the sound of such a brutal death and he couldn't get it out of his head. The person never even let out a scream as they died, even tho they had to be in so much pain.
