Vania lay on her bed playing gently with the soft strands of her brown hair, fanned over the fluffy pillow like a silk curtain.

A cheesy smile played on her lips, one she tried really hard but was unable to fight. Her mind stuck on Harris and his crazy antics in the kitchen.

A small giggle escaped her lips and she masked it by breathing in deeply. Then turned left to see a fast asleep Zainab, snore lightly.

Vania sighed contendedly and laid back to stare at the ceiling and the little green fluorescent stars glowing upon it in the dark of the room.

What was he even trying to do?

A thought teased her brain as she bit the side of her thumb. A grin replaced the smile and her face reflected a pomegranate.

"Respect the chef baby, attitude nhi chaley gaa."

She laughed silently.

Baby? What??

And so it seemed she just couldn't stop laughing because her stomach tickled with this warm, fuzzy feeling that made her squirm.

"Beta kis ko kaha hai?... size dekh ke baat karo.. "

The blush on her cheeks deepened at the memory of his deep, silky voice and her conscience heartily accepted commiting the sin of checking him out when he had gestured to himself then.

A gray cotton button-up, tight on the chest and biceps, his sleeves folded up to the elbows, displaying his strong arms, with a network of veins running up disappearing into the fold of his sleeve. His black denim jeans a perfect combination with the shirt, fitted him in all the right places, his lean frame that loomed over her when he came too close....

No... He was no child...and no one was more aware of that fact than Vania herself. The tightness in her chest, the flutters in her stomach, the voracious thudding of her heart, and the heat that flared across her body all indicated ....that...
Yes! ... She knew very well he was no child.

She swallowed dryly, bitting down on her lower lip and took a ragged breath in.

Ufff Harris!!!

She was trying hard... So very very hard to fight this crazy magnetic attraction she felt towards him and it seemed as if he was hell bent on trying her patience. She didn't want to fall into this dream again. She was soo sure she had given up on him. So sure that whatever it was between them was over but....

His handsome smile, his deep chuckles, his callous words, those intense choclaty eyes....it was torture to ignore them and highly impossible to not feel anything in her heart.

Her heart had no qualms about running to him rightnow and hugging the life out of him. Feel him against her and whisper to him how much she missed him, how much she loved him, that she had never stopped, that it was impossible to even think about it.

I love you.....

But her head knew how that was a dreadful thought.

And just like that her mood deflated and her heart that was pumping excitedly seemed to have dropped down like a dead weight in her stomach.

He is engaged...

She took another sad, gasping breath like her soul was being crushed and blinked hard feeling a wetness on her lids.

I am soo stupid...

She sniffed and turned her face to the window where the full moon smiled down on her from high above in the Feburary night sky. The tall fir tree branches swaying behind the window casted gentle shadows on the walls of the room playing hide and seek with the silvery moon light filtering in.
